    Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat insulating door wall structure for use in a refrigerator or the like. By constituting the surface of the door with a colored glass plate or the like having a transparent layer at its front surface and a colored layer at its reverse surface, deep luster is provided by the transparent glass plate located before the colored layer , while owing to high rigidity of the glass plate, undulation to be formed on the front surface of the door by contraction of a heat insulating material filled through expansion or foaming, or by warping of the door due to temperature difference between exterior and interior of the door is advantageously prevented, and moreover, by increasing the strength of the door, reinforcing members of the door can be dispensed with for simple construction and reduction in cost.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of having a user remove the source of a gas when the gas accelerating the deterioration of a food in a storage compartment for storing foods exists with at least a prescribed concentration. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises an atmosphere sensor of an atmosphere sensor unit 24, an information display device 25, and a display control means 26. The atmosphere sensor whose electric resistance varies according to the concentration of ethanol around the set place, is set inside a vegetable compartment 12. The information display device 25 can display the information on the refrigerator in illustration and sentences. The display control means 26 makes the information display device 25 display a sentence with the contents recommending to remove a cause of generated ethanol gas when it is determined that the concentration of the ethanol gas around the place where the atmosphere sensor is set is at least 20 ppm based on the variation of the electric resistance of the atmosphere sensor. Accordingly, the source of the gas can be removed by a user and the freshness of vegetables can be kept with a simple structure.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep chlorine smell removal semipermanently and prevent putrefaction of water and production of bad odor semipermanently by providing a base member coated with a thin film, having a specified thickness, of an optical catalyst TiO2 having a particular particle diameter and a light source irradiating the base member, and providing water stirring means in the interior of a water supply tank. SOLUTION: An ice making apparatus 1 includes an ice making pan 2, a reversing apparatus 3, a water storage container 4, a pump 5, a water supply tank 6, pipings 7, 8, and a base member 11 on which an optical catalyst 9 is coated and a light source 11. The ice making pan 2, reversing apparatus 3, and the ice storage container 4 among the foregoing components are disposed in a freezing chamber 12, while the pump 5, water supply tank 6, base member 10, and light source 11 are disposed in a freezing chamber 13. The optical catalyst 9 is a thin film of TiO2 particles with 15 to 30nm particle diameter a thickness of 0.4 to 0.9μm. The light source 11 is lighted and the optical catalyst 9 is irradiated with light to be excited, bleaching powder components and bacteria are decomposed owing to transfer of electrons between the chlorine component and the bacteria dissolved in water and ice bringing into contact with the optical catalyst 9.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a thermal conduction to be increased and ice to be manufactured within a short period of time by a method wherein an ice making pan is formed by a polypropylene resin added with a high thermal conductive substance. SOLUTION: This ice making pan is produced by making a resin mixed with a high thermal conductive substance 8 and polypropylene resin 6 and injecting the mixed resin through a molding machine. As regards a thermal conductivity of the ice making pan, the more an adding amount of the high thermal conductive substance 8, the higher the thermal conductivity and them an ice making time is shortened. In addition, since a contact probability between the high thermal conductive substance 8 becomes high if a phase of the additive agent is in a fibrous form rather than a particle shape and its fiber length is longer, its thermal conductivity is increased and the ice making time can be shortened. Further, when the high thermal conductive substance 8 is of solid carbon, the ice making time can be shortened. Since a specific weight of the solid carbon is low, a proper characteristic of polypropylene resin such as light weight and superior molding characteristics can be maintained, its mechanical strengths such as the flexural modulus and impact strength or the like can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the appearance of a door front surface, and at the same time, increase the hardness of a glass, prevent the unevenness on the front surface from happening, and improve the strength of the door body by filling a foaming heat insulating material between an outer plate for which a color layer is provided on the rear surface of a glass, and a door inner plate which is provided with a specified interval on the rear side of the outer plate. CONSTITUTION:The title heat insulating door for a refrigerator, etc., has an outer plate 11 being formed using a glass 11a on which a coloring layer 11b of an acrylic-urethane paint, for which a coloring is done by a flow coater, etc., on the rear surface, and then baked, is provided. Then, a door frame 12 is attached to the outer periphery of the outer plate 11, and the whole periphery of a door inner plate 14 which is arranged at a specified interval to the outer plate 11, is held by the door frame 12, and a foaming filler 15 is expand-filled in a gap between both parts 11, 14. By such type of heat insulating door, the appearance of the front surface can be improved by the luster and flatness of the glass 11a, and at the same time, the strength of the door body can be improved by the hardness of the glass 11a. Also, an excellent design can be obtained by the existence of the coloring layer 11b.
