Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image processing method, capable of automatically distinguishing a fixed star from other heavenly bodies from a large amount of observed images observed in a large range of the celestial sphere at all times, to detect unknown high-orbit/geostationary-orbit space debris, an asteroid or the like. SOLUTION: This method includes a means of extracting an image of the heavenly body from the respective images obtained, by continuous photographing in a fixed star-tracking mode; a means of extracting a shape feature a/b, an area s and a position of the center of gravity (x, y) of the image of the extracted heavenly body; a means of registering the extracted feature 1/b, an image number, an accumulation counter as a list; a means of adding '1' to the accumulation counter in the list, when it is decided that data are already registered in the list. It is distinguished, based mainly on a value of the accumulation counter whether the heavenly body is a fixed star or another heavenly star, and the space debris is distinguished from the image features, mainly the position of the center of gravity, the shape or the like.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a moving celestial body which is dark to an almost undetectable degree in the observed image of one frame by removing a large quantity of fixed star images which hinder detection. SOLUTION: Images 2-1 to 2-3 of an area, suited to operation of the moving celestial body, are respectively cut off from images 1-1 to 1-3 of plural frames imaged at specific time intervals. Next, a central value image 3-1 is made by taking a central value on the same pixel of the whole cutoff images 2-1 to 2-3. Influence of the fixed stars moving on the cutoff images is removed by taking the central value, and only the moving celestial body can be left. An average value image is made, by using the obtained central value image by plural frame for increasing a detection limit, and the dark moving celestial body undetectable in the observing image of the one frame is extracted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a buffer memory controller which has high universal applicability and can facilitate the input/output of data subject to the signals of all standards by providing several pairs of data transfer control circuits and buffer memories in parallel to each other. CONSTITUTION:A clock pulse generator 46 is controlled by the synchronizing signal supplied from a computer main body 1 or an external device 3 and produces the clock pulses. A counter register 45 stores the memory address of the data stored in a buffer memory 42 and to be read and written secures synchronization with the clock pulse of the generator 46 to control the largest count value through the main body 1 or the device 3. A data transfer controller (a) 41 controls the input/output of data between the main body 1 and the memory 42, and a data transfer controller (b) 44 refers to the value of the register 45 as a memory address and reads and writes the data stored in the memory 42.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the preprocessing adapted for the purpose, by making the picture signal binary and by counting data of the picture pattern in accordance with the purpose. CONSTITUTION:Solar image 11 projected on the CCD image sensor is divided into faces 12, 13, 14 and 15 having 64X64 constitution. Data 0, 1, 2 and 3 are written into memories corresponding to thse divided faces. Therefore, when the sensor scans the region of face 12, memory outut 6 becomes 0, and data which passed through binary circuit 7 is led to the 0th counter of counter group 9 by multiplexer 8. Consequently, numbers proportional to areas of solar image 11 projected onto respective divided faces are counted by counters corresponding to respective divided faces. If the direction of picture converting device 1 is so determined by a computer that these divided areas are equal to one another, this direction becomes the center of the sun, and tracking is possible.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring and detection method and a system therefor that can continuously and automatically detect an unknown or known flight object (including a celestial body, an artificial satellite, space debris or the like) and monitor the motion of a known celestial body or artificial object, throughout the sky. SOLUTION: For automatic monitoring and detection of the flight object, an optical device observes an object passing across a set region of an imaginary line (for example, a meridian) on a celestial sphere crossing the horizon, and a data processor compares observed data such as a place and a speed with known data, with the use of an image of the flight object passing across the imaginary line, an observation time of the image, and data on fixed stars, artificial satellites, known celestial bodies such as asteroids, and the like held in the processor, to thereby automatically sort known data on celestial bodies and other data from each other.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a new digital computer system which can simultaneously process plural programs in parallel with each other and at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic processor 11 is provided to serve as a host processor together with the arithmetic processing elements 12a and 12b surrounding the processor 11, and the memory banks 14 which are usually connected to the bus lines of both elements 12a and 12b and then can be connected to the bus line of the processor 11 after the separation from the bus lines of the elements 12a and 12b by a switch 13. The switch 13 functions to connect the banks 14 o the host arithmetic processor or an arithmetic processor. Then a controller 15 is added to control the switch 13 through the host arithmetic processor. In such a constitution, a parallel computer is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:The graphic display device is provided with a display model signal supplying source 1 for dividing the surface of a three-dimensional shape model into planes and supplying signals each of which consists of a face number and numerized positional information, the 1st and 2nd coordinate transforming/ sampling means 2, 3 for executing a prescribed transformation/sampling of the face numbers and the numerized positional information obtained at the time of observing the model from the 1st and 2nd positions, the 1st and 2nd depth algorism buffers 4, 5 for storing sampled signals, a coordinate transforming device 6 for transforming coordinate data corresponding to the positional information read out by the buffer 4 into coordinate data in the coordinate system of the buffer 5, and a deciding device 7 for deciding the validity of a shadow. Consequently, an image with a shadow can be extremely rapidly plotted.
