The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rivastigmine-containing adhesive skin patch which has excellent skin permeability of rivastigmine contained therein and has excellent adhesion performance. The present invention provides an adhesive skin patch comprising a support and an adhesive agent layer arranged on the support, wherein the adhesive agent layer contains at least rivastigmine and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a specific acrylic adhesive agent. The adhesive skin patch according to the present invention may be composed of only the support and the adhesive agent layer. The adhesive agent layer may have a single-layered structure.

A medical tape preparation which comprises a support and, superposed on one side thereof in the following order, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a release liner. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can contain a large amount of an oleophilic oily matter. The tape preparation is excellent in adhesion, cohesiveness, and stability even when no crosslinking agent is used. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the medical tape preparation comprises a blend of two tacky polymers, which are a tacky polymer (A) comprising a copolymer obtained from 2-acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate and other vinyl monomer(s) as constituent ingredients and a tacky polymer (B) comprising a copolymer which is obtained from a C 4-10 -alkyl (meth)acrylate and other vinyl monomer(s) as constituent ingredients and is different from the tacky polymer (A).

It is an object of the invention to provide a crosslinkable pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin that exhibits satisfactory adhesion and releasability for human skin and low irritation to skin, and a crosslinkable pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for skin that is suitable for medical and cosmetic use, as well as to provide a composition for production of a crosslinkable pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin that has superior storage properties and is suitable for preparation of the crosslinkable pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin. The crosslinkable pressure-sensitive adhesive for skin of the invention is formed by 100 parts by weight of an acrylic copolymer (copolymer A) comprising a (meth) acrylic acid alkyl ester as the main constituent component and 3-45 wt% diacetoneacrylamide as an essential constituent component, and containing no free carboxyl groups, and 0.1-30 parts by weight of an acrylic copolymer (copolymer B) comprising a (meth) acrylic acid alkyl ester as the main constituent component and a primary amino group and/or carboxyhydrazide group on a side chain, and containing no free carboxyl groups. A composition of copolymer A and copolymer B dissolved in a solvent containing at least 5.0 wt% acetone and/or butanone with respect to the total amount of solvent can be stored for prolonged periods.

The composition for a hydrous adhesive patch for external use comprises a water-dispersible surfactant of 0.01 to 10.0 mass% to the whole of the composition for a hydrous adhesive patch for external use.

A nonaqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive for a medicinal tape preparation for percutaneous absorption comprising (a) a support, (b) a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer containing a drug and a nonaqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive and (c) a release film laminated in that order, and a medicinal tape preparation for percutaneous absorption comprising the adhesive. The nonaqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive may comprise a copolymer obtained by copolymerization of a (meth)acrylic monomer having an acetoacetyl group in the molecule and one or more monomers from among other (meth)acrylic monomers without acetoacetyl groups and copolymerizable vinyl monomers, in a nonaqueous solvent. Suitable (meth)acrylic monomers having an acetoacetyl group in the molecule are acetoacetoxyalkyl methacrylates, and especially 2-acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate. The copolymer nonaqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive of the invention, comprising a (meth)acrylic monomer having an acetoacetyl group as a constituent monomer, is capable of containing large amounts of lipophilic oily substances in the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and during heat drying, the acetoacetyl groups undergo self-crosslinking to form a network structure as the solvent evaporates off, so that large amounts of oily substances such as the plasticizer can be included in the network structure. The pressure-sensitive adhesive of the invention uses no polyamine derivatives, isocyanate compounds, polyvalent metal chelate compounds, etc. as crosslinking agents, and therefore toxicity is not a concern and skin is not irritated. A medicinal tape preparation for percutaneous absorption of the invention has superior adhesive strength and cohesive strength, and is highly safe with low skin irritation. It also has excellent drug release and percutaneous absorption properties.

There is provided a skin patch comprising a flexible backing and, superimposed thereon, a plaster layer wherein the plaster layer contains a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer and has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -45° to -35°C and a tan ´ (lag angle) value, determined at dynamic viscoelasticity measurement (frequency 6.2832 rad/s) at 45°C, of 0.25 or less.

The present invention provides a tulobuterol adhesive patch comprising (a) a support, (b) an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer containing the percutaneously absorbing drug tulobuterol and if necessary a lipophilic oily plasticizer, and (c) a release liner, laminated in that order, wherein the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive is a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing an acrylic monomer which is acetoacetoxyalkyl (meth) acrylate with one or more other vinyl monomers, to yield a tulobuterol adhesive patch with excellent release and skin permeability of tulobuterol from the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, low skin irritation and excellent safety.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition for external application and an adhesive skin patch capable of improving releasability, transdermal absorbability and stability of loxoprofen and a salt thereof and capable of reducing aggravation of irritation to skin.SOLUTION: An adhesive skin patch includes a support and an adhesive layer laminated on the support. The adhesive layer includes a styrene-isoprene-styrene copolymer, a tackifier, a plasticizer, sodium loxoprofen, oxyacid and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. Preferably, the adhesive layer includes no crotamiton.
