Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition, exhibiting a heat-resistant matting effect, sustainable for extended period, and capable of giving refreshing and pleasant sensations, by including specific polyorganosiloxane particles in the composition to be applied locally. SOLUTION: This composition applicable to cosmetics or for local application (preferably care or make-up composition of keratin) is incorporated with (A) elastomer-like solid polyorganosiloxane particles suspended in an aqueous phase and crosslinked at least partly, to improve its resistance to water. It is preferable that the component A is obtained by the addition and crosslinking reactions, in the presence of a catalyst, between (i) a polyorganosiloxane having at least 2 vinyl groups at the α-ω site of the silicone chain in one molecule, and (ii) an organosiloxane having at least one H bound to the Si atom in one molecule.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject emulsion by including an α,ω-substituted oxyalkylenated silicone in a composition for, e.g. cosmetic, dermatological or hygienic products, which controls, reduces or prevents transfer or movement of the composition. SOLUTION: This water-in-oil type emulsion, showing good stability and keeping good cosmetic characteristics, is obtained by including an α,ω-substituted alkylenated silicone, preferably shown by formula I [R is (CH2 )p -O-(C2 H4 O)x (C3 H6 O)y R (R is H, CH3 or the like; (p) is 1 to 5; (x) is 1 to 100; (y) is 0 to 50; R is a 1-3C alkyl or the like; and 5
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a thermostabilizing microcapsule containing a heat absorbing crystal compound for protecting a cosmetic or a medicine composition against an action of heat change. SOLUTION: A thermostabilizing microcapsule containing at least one crystal compound exhibiting 75-330 kJ/kg melt enthalpy (ΔHf) measured by differential scanning calorimetry so as to protect a cosmetic or a medicine from an action of heat change is used. This cosmetic or medicine composition contains the thermostabilizing microcapsule. The microcapsule contains preferably a partially or wholly crystalline compound in a coating free from leakage and absorbs a large amount of heat known as a latent heat of fusion when heated to a temperature close to the melting point of the compound. Consequently, the temperature of the present environment of the microcapsule can be automatically controlled in a temperature range close to the melting point of the compound regardless of the change of external temperature for a fixed time.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a makeup method capable of imparting makeup thoroughly adhering to the skin so as to camouflage, and to obtain the subject makeup composition. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including a film-forming polymer in the form of particles in an aqueous dispersion in a beauty method for the skin makeup or care comprising applying a cosmetic composition containing fibers in a physiologically acceptable medium to the skin; wherein the film- forming polymer is designed as especially a polyurehane.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively obtain a safe cosmetic composition for make-up and antisuntan by using a specific volatile polyorganohalogen solvent as a transfer inhibitor and including pigments, dyestuffs or filler particles. SOLUTION: The objective cosmetic composition is obtained by using at least one kind of volatile polyorganohalogen solvents as transfer inhibitors preferably in a proportion of 2-98 wt.% and including 0.1-15 wt.% of pigments and/or dyestuffs and/or 98 wt.% or less of filler particles. The above halogen atom is fluorine atom and the above solvent possesses a vapor pressure more than 20 mbar (200 Pa) at 25 deg.C. It is favorable that the volatile solvent is a perfluorocycloalkyl compound (preferably perfluoromethylcyclopentane, perfluorodimethylcyclohexane or perfluorodimethylcyclobutane) of the formula [(n) is 4 or 5; (m) is 1 or 2; (p) is 1-3].
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cosmetic process for treating body odour, which comprises the following steps: (1) applying directly onto the areas of skin to be treated with a deodorant composition (A) comprising at least one deodorant active agent in a cosmetically acceptable medium; (2) ingesting at least one composition (B) comprising, in a medium that is suitable for oral application, at least one edible fragrancing substance capable of producing an odour from within the body out to the human keratin materials; the order of the steps being irrelevant and the application of compositions (A) and (B) possibly being simultaneous or sequential within a time interval ranging from 30 seconds to 12 hours. The invention also relates to a deodorizing kit or device comprising at least two compartments, characterized in that it comprises: - a first conditioning comprising composition (A) as defined previously; - a second conditioning comprising composition (B) as defined previously.
Abstract:
Structured compositions comprising at least one structuring polymer and at least one oil-soluble ester comprising at least one free hydroxy group. The compositions may also comprise at least one structuring polymer and at least one UV blocker. The at least one structuring polymer may be a polyamide polymer. This invention may be in the form of stable compositions such as, for example, make-up sticks, lipsticks, sunscreen sticks, anhydrous lip compositions, and anhydrous foundations.
