Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the simple and sure coupling of yarn, by providing a double- cylinder air ejector having a yarn passage hole in the center and by providing the air ejector with a yarn entangling section and a sucking section which eject pressurized air in prescribed directions. CONSTITUTION:A yarn device 20 is made of an outer cylinder 1 and an inner cylinder 2 and has a yarn passage hole 3 in the center. The device 20 comprises a yarn entangling section 4, in which pressurized air supplied from a conduit 5 is ejected toward the center of the section through a uniform pressure chamber 6 and small holes 7, and a sucking section 8 in which pressurized air supplied from a conduit 9 is ejected into a yarn proceeding direction through a uniform pressure chamber 10 and the clearance 11 between both the cylinders 1, 2. The yarn union device 20 is used in a spun yarn reception unit to couple gathered lines 16 of spun yarn together. When a line 12' of spun yarn cut off due to the abnormality of a mouthpiece metal or the like is to be coupled to the other lines of yarn after the repair of the mouthpiece metal or the like, the pressurized air is supplied to the entangling section 4 and the sucking section 8 to instantaneously couple the line 12' to the others.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the winding of spun yarn of synthetic fibers around an elongation roller in the spinning and reception process of the yarn, by moving a line of spun yarn at a prescribed speed relative to the speed of reception of other lines of spun yarn when uniting the former line of yarn with the latter lines of yarn which are moving while being coupled together. CONSTITUTION:After a line 1 of spun yarn is cooled by a spinning and stopping cylinder 2, the line is supplied with oil at a roller 3 and then has its proceeding direction changed by a guide 4. Such lines 1 of spun yarn are united together through a split-type entangler 5 and a gathering guide 6. The gathered line 7 of spun yarn is then sent by a capstan roller 8 and put in a storage can 10 through dropping wheels 9. When a line 1' of spun yarn cut off due to the abnormality of a mouthpiece metal or the like is to be coupled to the gathered line 7 of spun yarn, the line 1' of yarn is passed through the entangler 5 while the line 1' is sucked and held by a suction gun 11. At that time, the speed of the line 1' of yarn is increased by an accelerator 12, if necessary, so that the speed is equalized to one and a half times or more of that of the gathered line 7 of yarn. Compressed air is supplied to the entangler 5 to couple both the lines 1', 7 to each other by the air flow.
