    Abstract: PURPOSE:An amide of higher fatty acid is added to a copolyamide consisting of caproamide, hexamethylene isophthalamide and others and they are melt spun to form said monofilaments with high mechanical strength and high transparency even in large deniers. CONSTITUTION:To a copolyamide consisting of (A) (a) 95-75wt% of caproamide ingredient, (b) 5-25wt% of hexamethylene isophthalamide ingredient and (c) 0- 20% of hexamethylene terephthalamide ingredient is added (B) 0.01-2% of at least one of amides, esters and metal salts of higher fatty acids or higher alcohols and they are melt spun. The transparency of the resulting monofilaments is controlled so as to satisfy the equation [T is transparency in %, d is the diameter of the monofilament in mm, ranging from 0.1-4mm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a novel polymer composed of amide units having specific composition, and having high heat resistance, by the melt polymerization of the salt of two kinds of specific diamines and hexahydro-terephthalic acid, wherein the cis/trans ratio of the above acid in the polymer satisfies a specific relationship. CONSTITUTION:The equimolar salt of undecamethylenediamine and hexahydrotere-phthalic acid and the equimolar salt of hexamethylenediamine and hexahydroterephthalic acid are melt-polymerized at a peak polymer temperature of 280-360 deg.C to obtain the objective copolymerized polyamide composed of 95- 65wt% undecamethylene hexahydroterephthal-amide unit of formulaIand 5- 35% hexamethylene hexahydroterephthal-amide unit of formula II and having the ratio of the cis-trans isomers of the above terephthalic acid unit in the polymer satisfying the relationship of formula III. USE:For the melt molded articles such as mechanical, electrical or automobile parts, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a nylon salt, stably, in high efficiency, by the cooling and crystallization of a homogeneous solution of an equimolar salt of a long-chain aliphatic diamine and a long-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, in a mixed solvent composed of water and a specific ratio of an alcohol. CONSTITUTION:An equimolar nylon salt is prepared from a diamine component selected from undecamethylenediamine and dodecanediamine and a dicarboxylic acid component selected from azelaic acid, sebacic acid, and dodecanedionic acid. A homogeneous solution of the equimolar nylon salt is prepared using a mixed solvent composed of 20-80, pref. 40-60wt% of water and 80-20, pref. 60-40wt% of an alcohol, and is cooled and crystallized at 50-90 deg.C to obtain the objective nylon salt. The high-precision pH control is not necessary, and the impurities can be easily removed. The crystallized nylon salt can be separated from the solvent easily, with a centrifugal dryer, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having suppressed bleed-out and the generation of gas during injection molding, and having remarkably improved flame-retardance, by compounding a specific melamine cyanurate to a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide resin is compounded with a melamine cyanurate prepared by reacting melamine with cyanuric acid in an aqueous solvent containing an organic basic compound of formula (R1, R2 and R3 are H, 1-10C aliphatic group, 1-10C alicyclic group or 1-10C heterocyclic hydrocarbon group containing N atom as the hetero atom). The polyamide resin is preferably nylon 66 or a copolyamide containing the polymer as a main component. The organic basic compound is preferably ethylenediamine, propylamine, dihexylamine, etc., and its amount is 0.1-50mol%, preferably 1-30mol%, based on melamine and cyanuric acid.
