    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing a nonwoven fabric with slight decline in electrification of electrified fibers due to contact and in uniformity due to adherence to a collision plate, and to provide a production unit for the nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: This method for producing a nonwoven fabric is characteristic in that, when the nonwoven fabric is to be produced using electrification opening technique, a semiconductor having a volume resistivity of 1×10 Ω.cm to 1×10 Ω.cm is used as at least part of fiber contact members involved in the whole process from the electrification opening step through the collection of fibers onto a net conveyor 10. The other objective production unit for the nonwoven fabric has an ejector 2 for high-speed suction of fibers, an electrification section 5 for forcedly electrifying fibers, and a collision plate 8 for altering the jet direction of electrified fiber stream between the electrification section 5 and the net conveyor 10; wherein at least the collision plate 8 is made of a semiconductor having a volume resistivity of 1×10 Ω.cm to 1×10 Ω.cm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a base material for filters for which nonwoven fabric formed from continuous filaments melting at mutually different temperatures is used and in which the relation between its unit weight and bending resistance is defined, and which shows excellent pleating processability and gives filters of high capturing performance causing no delamination. CONSTITUTION: A nonwoven fabric comprising thermoplastic continuous filaments of a low-melting component and a high-melting one is bonded by thermocompression with emboss rollers to set the thickness retention to less than 65% at the compressed parts based on the non-compressed parts so that the compressed area may occupy less than 35% of the total area of the nonwoven fabric. Further, the unit weight (metsuke) and the bending resistance of this nonwoven fabric satisfy the relations of formulas I and II [X is unit weight in (g/cm ); Y is bending resistance (mgf)], thus the filter base material with no delamination defect and with high form retention can be obtained. The high-melting component is, for example, a polyethylene terephthalate resin and the low-melting one is a copolyester resin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a filament non-woven fabric reduced in the weight irregularity and free from the defects by sucking an air flow through a collecting net and simultaneously supplying a specific volume of the air flow, when thermoplastic continuous filaments are blown out at a high speed and accumulated on the collecting net.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain base fabric for tufted carpets excellent in tufts and the dimensional stability in dyeing and good in processability with no interlaminar debonding by adhesive setting with an emulsion-based binder in addition to the partial hot melt bonding with a low-melting component. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, nonwoven fabric is produced using continuous filaments composed of the high-melting and low-melting components of polyester with the low-melting component such as an isophthalic acid- or adipic acid- copolymerized polyester accounting for 5-25wt.% of the whole fiber component. Thence, the nonwoven fabric is put to partial hot press bonding with the press bonding area accounting for 8-25% fo the nonwoven fabric's area using a hot embossing roller. Furthermore, the resulting nonwoven fabric is imparted with an emulsion-type binder such as of an acrylic resin, its mixture with melamine resin or synthetic rubber at 5-15wt.% based on the whole fiber component followed by adhesive setting, thus obtaining the objective base fabric for tufted carpets.

CONSTITUTION:In the yarn-cooling part 3 which is fitted immediately under the spinneret 1 together with suction box 2 lying between the spinneret and the cooling part, one wall among the four surrounding the running yarn Y is equipped with air- flow rectifier 4 from which the cooling air is sent to yarn Y horizontally, the both sides of the wall are surrounded with walls and the fourth wall 11 provided with an opening 13 at the upper part and a hole 12 connecting to the sucking pipe is opposed to the rectifier plate 4.
