    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composite leather having high abrasion resistance, heat resistance, heat insulating properties and hardness, improved vibration-proof effect as well as good hand touchiness, elasticity, air permeability, flexibility, etc., by impregnating a ceramic powder into grain layer, net-shaped layer or skin layer of natural leather. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composite leather obtained by impregnating a ceramic powder of oxide type such as alumina, zirconia, titania, magnesia or silica, nitride type such as silicon nitride, boron nitride or titanium nitride, carbide type such as silicon carbide and zeolite, etc., into at least one layer among grain layer, net-shaped layer and skin layer of natural leather of cow, pig, goat, seep, etc. Furthermore, the above-mentioned powder has 0.005-50mum (preferably 0.01-20mum) particle size and can be used by carrying the powder on the surface of resin powder of PE, PS, etc., or silica powder or containing the powder in the interior thereof.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled powder having excellent handleability, dispersibility and color stability and suitable e.g. as pigment for paint giving smooth and beautiful coating film, by heating TiN powder produced e.g. by vapor-phase reaction process and adjusting O and N contents and an average primary particle diameter to respective specific levels. CONSTITUTION:TiN powder is produced by a vapor-phase process e.g. by reacting TiCl4 vapor with NH3 gas at 700-1,500 deg.C while passing the TiCl4 vapor and NH3 gas through a reaction tube using N2 gas and H2 gas as carrier gases, respectively.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain complex particles useful for foundation cosmetic, having excellent ultraviolet light screening effects, containing parent material particles comprising nylon resin, polyethylene resin, etc., carrying powder of zirconium oxide, etc., on the surface, having dispersed powder of titanium oxide, etc., in the interior. CONSTITUTION:Complex particles which contain parent material particles comprising nylon resin, polyethylene resin, polymethyl methacrylate resin, polyester resin, polystyrene resin, polyurethane resin, silicon resin or silicon oxide, carry one powder selected from zirconium oxide and aluminum oxide on the surface of the parent material particles and have dispersed one powder selected from titanium oxide and zinc oxide in the interior of the particles. The parent material particles are preferably spherical and may be columnar or cylindrical. In the case of spherical shape, the particles have 0.5-100mum. preferably 2-20mum average particle and in the case of the other shapes, the particles have 1-100mum, preferably 5-20mum average particle diameter calculated as spherical shape.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a refractory composition containing ceramic fibers and a silicone polymer as essential components, capable of providing a refractory part having excellent mechanical strength, toughness and dimensional stability without using a reinforcing material and suitable for a fireproofing coating for electric wire, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding a ceramic fiber (e.g. alumina-silica fiber, alumina fiber or zirconia fiber) with a silicone polymer and, as necessary, with 5-600pts.wt. of inorganic powder (e.g. glass powder or asbestos powder) having average particle diameter of 0.01-100mum.
