    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain fine particles containing photochromic compound which are prevented from causing agglomeration of the polymer and hence are excellent in dispersion stability by using a specific PVA as a dispersion stabilizer in the perparation of an aqueous dispersion of an organic solvent solution of a polymer containing a photochromic compound by a covalent bond. CONSTITUTION:A PVA with a degree of sapondification of 70.0-85.0mol% and a degree of polymerizaion of 1,000 of or more is used as a dispersion stabilizer in the preparation of an aqueous dispersion of an organic solvent (e.g. toluene) solution of a polymer containing a photo-chromic compound by a covalent band (e.g. 1-octadecyl-3,3-dimethyl9'-methacryloxyspirooxazine/lauryl methacrylate/methyl methacrylate/ hydroxyethly methacrylate/hindered amine methacrylate reaction product).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce polymer particles having relatively large particle diameter in high polymer yield by carrying out a graft-polymerization and extracting unreacted monomer with a hydrophobic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A monomer expressed by formula (R1 is H or CH3; R2 is H, CH3 or C2H5; n is >=5) is grafted to a hydrophobic vinyl polymer component containing vinyl unit and unreacted monomer is extracted with a hydrophobic solvent. The above monomer is e.g. a polyethylene glycol monoacrylate having a polymerization degree n of 5-200 and the above vinyl polymer component is e.g. an acrylonitrile polymer.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently pack cloth having a body fluid purifying ability into a housing to be packed therewith and to provide a structure which is low in pressure droop and is less in drift by providing the module with the cloth and housing described above and winding the cloth in a roll form around a pipe having a perforated part. SOLUTION: The cloth having the body fluid purifying ability is wound around the pipe which has the perforated part on its circumference, has an aperture at one side in the longitudinal direction and is closed at the other up to the thickness of the diameter of a disk-shaped object 3, to form a roll-like adsorbent 1. The adsorbent is inserted into the housing part and the disk-shaped objects 3, 3' are inserted therein from both ends to set the rolled adsorbent 1 into the housing part; thereafter, a header having an inflow port and outflow port for the body fluid is mounted at the housing, by which the fluid purifying module is formed. If the fluid purifying module is used in extracorporeal circulation, the flow of the body fluid, for example, the body fluid flowing from the header passes the rolled absorbent 1 from the perforated part of the pipe and flows out of the header after the body fluid is purified.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition composed of plural antithrombotic polymers composed of hydrophilic component and hydrophobic component and having different content of hydrophobic component, exhibiting excellent antithrombotic property and having high compatibility with non-antithrombotic material used as a coating base material, etc. CONSTITUTION:This polymer composition is a mixture of two or more kinds of antithrombotic polymers composed of hydrophilic component and hydrophobic component and having different content of the hydrophilic component. The difference between the maximum content of the hydrophobic component and the minimum content thereof in the above polymers is >=5wt.%. The composition is preferably a mixture of a various kinds of polymers having continuously varying hydrophobic component contents. The composition preferably contains a polymer having a hydrophobic component content of >=70wt.%. The polymer composition is produced by polymerizing a hydrophilic monomer (preferably methoxypolyethylene glycol methacrylate, etc.) and a hydrophobic monomer (e.g. acrylonitrile) while varying the feeding ratio of the monomers.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the wound coating material which exhibits an antimicrobial property even without releasing drugs and has a detoxication power to a bacterial toxin by immobilizing polypeptide antibiotics by cavalent bonding to the surfaces of fibers constituting cloth. CONSTITUTION:A polypeptide-based antibiotic is immobilized by covalent bonding to the surfaces of the fibers constituting cloth of a wound coating material. The ratio of the extension rate in the biaxial directions orthogonal to each other of the cloth surface is specified to >=50%. The cloth is formed of a knitted fabric cross knitted of blended fiber consisting of plural blank materials, combined filament yarns and/or plural fibers. As a result, the treatment of the wound is possible without allowing the intrusion of antibiotic into the body through the wound part, and therefore, side effects are prevented. Since an infection prevented, the treatment environment of the wound is improved and further the microbial cell toxin is adsorbed, and therefore an inflammation reaction is suppressed and healing is accelerated.

In addition, a cone shaped solid dam 6 is provided to the outer periphery of the baffle plate 5 and disc 7 damming up the light liquid is connected to the conveyor 2 and a ring like dam 8 damming up the heavy liquid passing through the outer peripheral surface of the disc 7 is connected to a main body 1. In addition, the position of one or more of an outflow port 9 provided to the middle part of the baffle plate is made present between the apex A of the dam 6 and the interface D of the heavy liquid B and the light liquid C generated during rotation of the main body 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture a resin molded body of superior surface accuracy, release properties and resistance to heat by setting the glass transition temperature of the resin molded body at 160 deg.C or higher and making the water content in an injection composition 1000ppm or under in the manufacturing method of the molded body by the cell casting method. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of a resin molded body by the call casting method, the glass transition temperature of the resin molded body is set at 160 deg.C or higher and the water content in a composition to be injected is 1000ppm or less. In the case the glass transition temperature is lower than 160 deg.C, resistance to heat is insufficient and the resin molded body is likely to be deformed and it is difficult to use for the purposes where high resistance to heat is required. Also, in the case unreacted monomers or the like remain in the resin molded body, resistance to heat is likely to be lowered. In the case the water content in the composition is beyond 1000ppm, a number of fine recesses are generated on the surface of the resin molded body, and sometimes the surface accuracy is insufficient or premature release is accelerated.
