Abstract: PURPOSE:To wind a sheet-shaped object into a very good winding form at a high speed by constituting the surface of the contact roll of a winder winding the sheet-shaped object into a roller shape with a hard porous material. CONSTITUTION:A hard porous material layer 18 mainly made of stabilized zirconia ceramic with the porosity 80-99% is provided on the surface of a roll ring 17 rotatably supporting a contact roll 13 on a shaft 15 via a bearing 16. The contact width Wn between the surface of the contact roll 13 and the surface of a winding roll 3 is kept very small, thus the face pressure near the line contact can be applied, and the accompanying air tending to be engulfed is efficiently excluded so that the desired air biting factor is attained uniformly and precisely. Although the pressing force is small for the whole contact roll 13, high face pressure can be generated, the transfer between winding layers is prevented, and a plastic film 1 can be wound at a high speed. The wound plastic film 1 has no abrasion and no aging characteristic change, and production conditions are stabilized.

CONSTITUTION:Oscillation for moderating the unevenness of film thickness in raw material 2 is performed by reciprocating a winding-out frame 15 by a hydraulic cylinder 17. In the speed control of this oscillation, the oscillation speed Vo proportional to the film carrier speed Vc detected from the speed of a guide roll 5 and the like is set previously, so that the oscillation speed Vo corresponding to the detected speed Vc is read out and set as the command value of the oscillation speed at that time. The position in the film width direction is detected by a magnetic scale 23, and the actual oscillation speed is computed on the basis of the difference between the present detection value and the preceding detection value. Solenoid flow control valves S1, S2 then control in such a way that actual oscillation speed coincides with the command value.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable control into the desired pressing force even in the case of using a contact roll of different self-weight by controlling the air pressure of an air cylinder in such a way as to place the contact roll into the preset neutral position before bringing the contact roll into contact with a take-up core. CONSTITUTION:The position of a roll 13 is detected by a photo-sensor 21 before a take-up core 15 is brought into contact with a contact roll 13. The air pressure of an air cylinder 12 is then controlled through an electropneumatic converter 19 so that this detected position is placed into a neutral position. At this time, the self-weight elements of the roll 13 and an arm 16 are balanced with the force by the air cylinder 12, and the roll 13 stands still in the neutral position. The air pressure in this neutral position is stored as the base pressure, and air pressure required for the generation of pressing force to the take-up core 15 is added to this base pressure at the take-up time so as to be made into the actual control pressure for performing take-up. The pressing force can be thereby controlled accurately regardless of change in the self-weight of the contact roll 13.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a good unwindability to a plastic film roll used for a vacuum treatment by specifying the expansion power of the roll to a certain value or lower. SOLUTION: This plastic film roll is prepd. so as to have an expansion power of 180 Pa or lower. Pref., the film has a thickness of 0.5-15 μm and is a vacuum-metallizable one, e.g. a polyester film. Such a roll is prepd. by winding the film under such conditions of temp, humidity, and pressure that the distance between layers of the wound film is made as small as possible, the amt. of air entrapped is reduced to as small as possible, and the characteristics of air entrapped are suitable for the vacuum treatment. More specifically, the roll is prepd. by winding and drying while decreasing the winding tension from 24.5 Pa to 19.6 Pa linearly with the increase in the roll diameter and increasing the plane pressure from 539 N/m to 637 N/m linearly with the increase in the roll diameter or without changing the plane pressure.
