    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent peeling of a photosensitive layer liable to occur in developing and printing, by interposing an interlayer containing an epoxy resin between a substrate and the photosensitive layer in the titled printing plate made by forming a silicone rubber layer as a non-image element layer and a photosensitive layer as an underlayer. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution containing an epoxy resin is coated on a substrate (e.g., an aluminum plate) and heat-treated to form an interlayer of 0.5-30mu thickness made of a hardened resin coat film, and a 100mu or less thick photosensitive layer and a 0.5-50mu thick transparent silicone rubber layer are successively formed on the interlayer to provide a printing plate. As the above epoxy resin to be used for the interlayer, a reaction product between epichlorohydrin and a multivalent phenol, e.g., bisphenol A is preferable, and it may be used together with a phenolic resin, urea resin, melamine resin, or other thermosetting resin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate moisture water when printing with a lithographic printing block by largely improving the detecting capacity of the block by using an aluminum block treated by etching process. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum block etched with alkaline solution or electrolytically etched is used as a water-eliminating lithographic printing block. The etching easiness depends upon the purity of aluminum in the block. Low purity aluminum is more readily etched than high purity alluminum. The stripes and metallic light on the surface of aluminum block are erased and whitened by a suitable etching process. When the block is excessively etched, the surface of the block is blackened to produce rough surface to reduce the detecting capacity thereof. When the block is less etched, the stripe of the block due to rolling direction is retained on the surface of the block less effectively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make vacuum contact work easy and achieve the faithful reproduction of images by providing a light-transmittable covering layer having undulations on one side on a silicone rubber layer being a lithographic material in such a manner that its smooth surface makes contact to the rubber layer. CONSTITUTION:A covering layer which has more than several hundreds to two thousands per 1cm of undulations of average about 0.1-3mu, preferably 0.2-1mu in altitude difference on one surface through addition of inorganic fine particles such as of SiO2, etc. or surface treatment, mechanical embossing, etc. is provided on the silicone rubber layer of the lithographic material comprising providing a photopolymerizable adhesive layer (photosensitive layer) and silicone rubber layer on a substrate. If photosensitive one is used for the silicone rubber layer, there is no need for the provision of the photosensitive layer thereunder. As the covering layer, a polypropylene film which is provided with undulations on one side through mechanical embossing or crystallization, a polyester film which is contained with SiO2 fine powder or the like is used.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obviate the partial peeling of a cover film and to lessen the generation of scrap plates by specifying the peeling resistance value of the cover film before and after an original plate for printing plates is exposed. CONSTITUTION: This original plate M for waterless planographic printing plates is formed by successively laminating a photosensitive layer 2, a silicone rubber layer 3 and a cover film 5 on a substrate 1. The original plate is constituted so that the cover film 5 is peeled after the original plate is subjected to exposure processing at the time of using this waterless planographic printing plate M as a machine plate. In such a case, the peeling resistance value of the cover film 5 before the original plate for printing plates is exposed is >=0.5g/cm. The peeling resistance value of the cover film after the original plate for printing plates is exposed under the sufficient conditions for using the original plate as the machine plate is in a range of 0.5 to 10.0g/cm. The more preferably used materials for the cover film 5 include a polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene terephthalate, cellophane, etc.
