    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain excellent polarization power and wet heat resistant durability by incorporating a manganese compd. into a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film formed by adsorption of iodine and orientation. CONSTITUTION:The manganese compd. is incorporated into the PVA film formed by the adsorption of the iodine and the orientation. The manganese compd. to be used is exemplified by manganese halides such as manganese chloride, manganese bromide and manganese iodide and inorg. manganese salts such as manganese acetate, manganese sulfate and manganese nitrate. The content of the manganese in the polarizing film is adequately 0.05-50mg, more particularly 0.5-20mg per 1g PVA film. The excellent optical characteristics (transmittance and degree of polarization) and the wet heat durability are thereby obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a functional polyester-based fiber flexible and scarcely roughly rigid by graft polymerizing a specific monomer with a polyester-based continuous fiber hot-drawn under a specific condition and provided with a specific physical property, followed by reforming it.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition having high deodorizing effect and generating no secondary pollution, by compounding a compound specified in an acidic group substituted for an alkali metal with an org. vinyl polymer. CONSTITUTION:A compound A wherein an acidic group is 1.97X10 g equivalent/g or more and an acidic group substituted with an alkali metal is 5.81X10 g equivalent/g or more, an org. vinyl polymer B and a nonionic surfactant C having HLB of 10.0 or less are appropriately compounded or reacted to obtain a deodorizing composition having extremely high deodorizing efficiency and generating no secondary pollution when adhered to fibers. This deodorizing composition also has so called reproducibility such that said composition once absorbs and deodorizes a malodor and sun-dried or washed to again develop deodorizing effect. This deodorizing composition may be packed in a plastic container bag alone before use or may be printed on wallpaper, a calendar or advertising paper before use.
