Abstract:
The invention provides a primer composition excellent in adhesion to porous substrates and a method of bonding. Disclosed is a primer composition comprising: (A) a vinyl copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a monomer component comprising (a) 5 to 80 wt % of a monomer having a silicon-containing group which bears a hydroxyl or hydrolyzable group bonded to the silicon atom and causes crosslinking via the formation of a siloxane linkage and (b) 20 to 95 wt % of an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer wherein the alkyl has 1 to 8 carbon atoms; and (B) a vinyl copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a monomer component comprising (a) 5 to 80 wt % of a monomer having a silicon-containing group which bears a hydroxyl or hydrolyzable group bonded to the silicon atom and causes crosslinking via the formation of a siloxane linkage and (c) 20 to 95 wt % of an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer wherein the alkyl has 10 or more carbon atoms, as well as a method of bonding a sealant to a substrate, characterized by applying the primer composition onto a substrate and then allowing a sealant to adhere to the resulting coated surface of the substrate.
Abstract:
A method of forming a composite insulating layer in which a thin and uniform adhesive layer can be formed, and an adhesive strength between an adhesive layer and a porous layer is sufficient, a insulating layer obtained by the formation method, and a process of producing a wiring board, wherein an insulating layer is formed by the formation method, are disclosed. The method of forming a composite insulating layer includes a step of forming an adhesive layer 2 containing a partially imidated polyamic acid on a metallic foil 1; a step of applying a solution 3 containing a polyamic acid to the surface of the adhesive layer 2; a step of subjecting the coated solution 3 to phase separation to form a porous layer 4; and a step of subjecting the adhesive layer 2 and the porous layer 4 to imide conversion.
Abstract:
During the application of glue, in particular hot-melt glue, to a material web (21) for blanks, the transfer of glue is dependent on the conveying speed of the material web (21) and other parameters. In particular, a glue pressure, which is exerted on the glue in accordance with the movement of the material web, is regulated by means of a pressure control valve (37) which is connected to a central machine control unit (31). This ensures a uniform delivery of glue.
Abstract:
In a mounting structure including a first electrode and a second electrode electrically connected to each other via a conductive adhesive, the periphery of an adhesion portion between at least one of the electrodes and the conductive adhesive is covered with an electrical insulating layer, whereby the adhesion portion is reinforced from the periphery. The electrical insulating layer may be formed by dissolving a binder resin component of the conductive adhesive in a solvent. This increases the concentration of a conductive filler in the conductive adhesive, so that the conductivity of the adhesion portion is also enhanced.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an asphalt additive comprising a tire rubber powder and a petroleum resin. This asphalt additive is used in preparation of a reformed asphalt and paving material, which is effective in reduction of noise from traffic, minimization of crevice from contraction of road in winter and plastic deformation of road in summer, prevention of traffic accidents due to slippery road when raining, and prevention of water curtain and splash. Further, the road structure employing the present invention is helpful for protection of water resource. Moreover, the present invention provides an asphalt composition (echophalt) using the asphalt additive, and a method for preparation of the asphalt composition and its application.
Abstract:
A method of applying adhesive to major and minor flaps of a container in a siftproof adhesive pattern. A pair of adhesive dispensing guns are moved with respect to the flaps of the container as the container is conveyed past the guns. Electric actuators, such as linear modules or rotatable servo modules, are used to rapidly accelerate the guns in a direction perpendicular to the path of the container along a conveyor. In this manner, rapid packaging takes place and reliable siftproof patterns are achieved using minimal adhesive.
Abstract:
A method of forming an image laminating film. The method comprises applying an adhesive to one surface of a polymer film, applying an acrylic gel to the opposed surface of the polymer film, imprinting a texture to the acrylic gel and then drying the acrylic gel to retain the textured surface, and coating a transparent protective layer on the surface of the gel. The textured film may be laminated over an image to provide texture to the surface of the image.
Abstract:
A resin block has a treating solution channel extending between and opening at front and back surfaces thereof Heat conductive members are face-bonded to the front and back surfaces of the resin block, respectively, for closing the channel. Consequently, no air is present between the resin block and heat conduction members, thereby improving the efficiency of heat exchange. A nozzle of simple construction is realized only by face-bonding the two heat conductive members to the open front and rear surfaces of the resin block. Temperature control plates hold the heat conductive members along with the resin block to effect a temperature control, whereby the temperature of a treating solution in the treating solution channel is controlled effectively through the heat conductive members. The treating solution adjusted to a desired temperature is delivered from a discharge opening to a substrate for performing substrate treatment with high accuracy.

A method of producing an adhesive article including the steps of applying release coating compound(s) to a second side of a liner backing; applying an adhesive onto a first side of said coated liner backing; crosslinking said adhesive with E-Beam radiation applied through the second side of said liner backing; and winding said article into a roll.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for coating a light source to provide a modified output spectrum. Liquid adhesive is applied to the light source to form an adhesive layer. Luminescent material is fluidized and at least a portion of the adhesive layer immersed in the fluidized luminescent material to form a coated light source. The luminescent material can be a mixture of a phosphor compound and a fluidization enhancement substance, such as fumed silica.
