    Abstract: The invention provides a primer composition excellent in adhesion to porous substrates and a method of bonding. Disclosed is a primer composition comprising: (A) a vinyl copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a monomer component comprising (a) 5 to 80 wt % of a monomer having a silicon-containing group which bears a hydroxyl or hydrolyzable group bonded to the silicon atom and causes crosslinking via the formation of a siloxane linkage and (b) 20 to 95 wt % of an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer wherein the alkyl has 1 to 8 carbon atoms; and (B) a vinyl copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a monomer component comprising (a) 5 to 80 wt % of a monomer having a silicon-containing group which bears a hydroxyl or hydrolyzable group bonded to the silicon atom and causes crosslinking via the formation of a siloxane linkage and (c) 20 to 95 wt % of an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer wherein the alkyl has 10 or more carbon atoms, as well as a method of bonding a sealant to a substrate, characterized by applying the primer composition onto a substrate and then allowing a sealant to adhere to the resulting coated surface of the substrate.

    Abstract: A method of applying adhesive to major and minor flaps of a container in a siftproof adhesive pattern. A pair of adhesive dispensing guns are moved with respect to the flaps of the container as the container is conveyed past the guns. Electric actuators, such as linear modules or rotatable servo modules, are used to rapidly accelerate the guns in a direction perpendicular to the path of the container along a conveyor. In this manner, rapid packaging takes place and reliable siftproof patterns are achieved using minimal adhesive.

    Abstract: A resin block has a treating solution channel extending between and opening at front and back surfaces thereof Heat conductive members are face-bonded to the front and back surfaces of the resin block, respectively, for closing the channel.
