Abstract: A system receives, from a policy command service executing in a control plane of a distributed computing system, a configuration file defining parameters to be monitored at the computing node, a timing factor indicating when the parameters are to be monitored, and a threshold for when the parameters are to be sent from the computing node. Based on the configuration file, while the computing node is operational in the distributed computing system, the baseboard management controller is configured to monitor the computing node in accordance with the configuration file. The baseboard management controller sends, to a storage at the distributed computing system, the parameters defined in the configuration file for analysis of maintenance and health of the computing node.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a memory system includes a nonvolatile semiconductor memory device, a voltage generation unit and a control unit. The nonvolatile semiconductor memory device includes a memory cell array having a plurality of blocks each including a plurality of memory cells, and a voltage generation unit configured to change a read level of the memory cell. The control unit controls write, read, and erase of the nonvolatile semiconductor memory device. The control unit changes the read level between a start of use of the nonvolatile semiconductor memory device and a timing after an elapse of a time.

Abstract: A dynamic vision sensor (DVS) or change detection sensor reacts to changes in light intensity and in this way monitors how a scene changes. This disclosure covers both single pixel and array architectures. The DVS may contain one pixel or 2-dimensional or 1-dimensional array of pixels. The change of intensities registered by pixels are compared, and pixel addresses where the change is positive or negative are recorded and processed. Analyzing frames based on just three values for pixels, increase, decrease or unchanged, the proposed DVS can process visual information much faster than traditional computer vision systems, which correlate multi-bit color or gray level pixel values between successive frames.

Abstract: A memory controller component of a memory system stores memory access requests within a transaction queue until serviced so that, over time, the transaction queue alternates between occupied and empty states. The memory controller transitions the memory system to a low power mode in response to detecting the transaction queue is has remained in the empty state for a predetermined time. In the transition to the low power mode, the memory controller disables oscillation of one or more timing signals required to time data signaling operations within synchronous communication circuits of one or more attached memory devices and also disables one or more power consuming circuits within the synchronous communication circuits of the one or more memory devices.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to apparatuses and methods for scheduling targeted refreshes in a memory device. Memory cells in a memory device may be volatile and may need to be periodically refreshed as part of an auto-refresh operation. In addition, certain rows may experience faster degradation, and may need to undergo targeted refresh operations, where a specific targeted refresh address is provided and refreshed. The rate at which targeted refresh operations need to occur may be based on the rate at which memory cells are accessed. The memory device may monitor accesses to a bank of the memory, and may use a count of the accesses to determine if an auto-refresh address or a targeted refresh address will be refreshed.

Abstract: System and method for using multiple global identification subnet prefix values in a network switch environment in a high performance computing environment. A packet is received from a network fabric by a first Host Channel Adapter (HCA). The packet has a header portion including a destination subnet prefix identifying a destination subnet of the network fabric. The network HCA is allowed to receive the first packet from a port of the network HCA by selectively determining a logical state of a flag and, selectively in accordance with a predetermined logical state of the flag, ignoring the destination subnet prefix identifying the destination subnet of the network fabric.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods and systems for generating and processing energy consumption reports received from a plurality of devices. The reports may include a plurality of call stacks captured and stored by remote device as a result of an energy consumption of the corresponding device. For each energy consumption report, the plurality of call stacks may be analyzed to determine a representative call stack of the energy consumption report. The energy consumption reports may be assigned to one or more of a plurality of energy consumption categories based on distances between the representative call stacks of the energy consumption reports and corresponding representative call stacks of the energy consumption categories. A request may be received for energy consumption reports for a particular energy consumption category. Upon receiving the request, providing a representative set of energy consumption reports assigned to the particular energy consumption category.

Abstract: The subject technology provides for managing a data storage system. A data operation error for a data operation initiated in a first non-volatile memory die of a plurality of non-volatile memory die in the data storage system is detected. An error count for an error type of the data operation error for the first non-volatile memory die is incremented. The incremented error count satisfies a first threshold value for the error type of the data operation error is determined. The first non-volatile memory die is marked for exclusion from subsequent data operations.
