    Abstract: An injection pump having a pump body provided with an inlet conduit supplying an inlet chamber, and a compression chamber downstream from the inlet chamber under which a piston reciprocates to distribute liquid fluid from the compression chamber to an outlet pipe in communication with a common rail circuitry. The injection pump has a valve provided with a resilient cup, located between the inlet chamber and the compression chamber and actuated by an electromagnetic actuator through a pushing rod wherein operation of the valve allows the piston to suck liquid fluid from the inlet chamber into the compression chamber and feed the common rail circuitry or to push back liquid fluid in said inlet chamber and said inlet conduit, in which the pump comprises a filter provided around the pushing rod and located between the valve and the electromagnetic actuator in the inlet chamber.

    Abstract: A positive displacement fluid pump is provided. The fluid pump includes a motor and a pumping portion driven by the motor. The pumping portion includes an internal plate, an external plate including a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a pumping ring sandwiched between the internal and external plates, and a pumping arrangement rotatably coupled to the motor and located within the pumping ring. The pumping ring includes at least two alignment holes extending through the pumping ring in an axial direction. The internal plate and the external plate each including a corresponding number of axially-extending alignment holes, respectively. An alignment pin is provided for each of the alignment holes of the pumping ring. The alignment holes are aligned with each other, and the alignment pins are positioned in the aligned alignment holes. A method of aligning components of a positive displacement fluid pump is also provided.

    Abstract: A method of controlling the operation of a solenoid activated fuel injector, the fuel injector including an actuator including a solenoid, and being adapted to control a needle valve dependent on an activation pulse sent to the solenoid to control the needle valve to dispense fuel.

    a) determining the minimum drive pulse (MDP1) required for the needle valve to open;

    Abstract: A high-voltage (HV) system is provided including at least one HV component, a passive resistance load coupled to the at least one HV component, a control circuit coupled to the passive resistance load, and an isolated power supply coupled to the control circuit.     Abstract: A self-cleaning air filter assembly is provided and includes a filter housing having an upper portion and a lower portion that together define an internal volume. An air filter element is disposed in the internal volume. The upper portion of the filter housing includes a canister port adapted for fluid connection with an evaporative emissions canister. The lower portion of the filter housing includes a first port adapted for fluid connection with an atmospheric vent, and a second port adapted for fluid connection with a source of low pressure air. During a cleaning mode, air is pulled from the first port and along the filter element to the second port in order to remove particulate matter from the filter element. A vehicle evaporative emissions control system including the air filter assembly and a method of cleaning an air filter assembly are also provided.
