Abstract: A cushion support insert is described generally having a cushion with a surface sized for placement beneath a body of a user, the surface defining at least a first channel and a second channel therein. A fluid-filled bladder may be sized for placement upon the surface and a first plurality of pods and a second plurality of pods may be positioned upon or beneath opposing ends of the fluid-filled bladder such that the first plurality and second plurality are retained respectively within the first channel and the second channel. Each of the pods may be fluid-filled and aligned adjacent to one another within a respective first covering and second covering.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a system may include an inner wearable harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The system may include a plurality of engines which when activated apply an oscillation force. The system may include a positioning system which allows positioning at least one of the plurality of engines on the inner wearable system such that the oscillation force is applied to at least one treatment area of the subject. The oscillation force may mobilize, during use, at least some secretions in an airway within the subject substantially adjacent the treatment area. The system may include an outer harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The outer wearable harness, when activated, adjusts the oscillation force applied by at least some of the activated plurality of engines to the treatment area.

Abstract: An apparatus for applying traction force to a spine of a user has a chassis with an upper surface. A user lies on the upper surface with the spine extending generally parallel to a longitudinal axis of the chassis. Two members extend from the chassis on opposing sides of the longitudinal axis, each member being positioned to engage an armpit. A lever is pivotally attached to the chassis for rotation about a lateral axis, and a pad coupled to the lever contacts a proximal portion of each upper leg when the leg is bent forward at a hip joint. A force applied to the lever is transmitted through the pad to each upper leg and opposed by the members, thereby applying traction force for decompressing the spine. The force may be applied by the arms of the user or by a motor.

Abstract: A device used for applying an antiseptic preparation to a surgical site of a patient prior to surgery outside of an operating theater. A loose-fitting bag is provided which encloses the surgical site by securing the open end(s) to the patient by closing means. A high friction scrub surface is provided in the bag.
