    Abstract: A personal massage apparatus includes a personal massager and can also include a controller for controlling the operation of the massager. The massager includes a motor or other motion-causing device and can also include an interface (e.g., a wireless interface) to the controller (where such a controller is included). The controller is a remote control that can include a motion sensor (e.g., an accelerometer) for detecting motion of the controller (e.g., changes in orientation). The massager can also have a motion sensor for detecting motion of the massager. Circuitry in the controller and/or massager converts the detected motion of the controller or massager into control signals for the controller or massager. The operation of the controller or massager (e.g., the output motor power, a vibration pattern, or another massage setting) is adjusted based on the detected motion of the controller or massager.

    Abstract: An exoskeleton for humans including a joint element that interacts directly or indirectly with a human's joint via an end-effector mount, wherein the end-effector mount is arranged to perform an arbitrary planar parallel movement in a plane, allowing superimposed translational and rotational movements of the end-effector mount relative to a body of the joint element. The exoskeleton allows for excellent adjustment of the joint axes, i.e. the exoskeleton's and the human's joint, for effecting simultaneous translational and rotational movements. Particularly, the exoskeleton is self-aligning to the movements of a human's joint independent from differences in the attachment of the exoskeleton to the body and anatomical differences of the patients.

    Abstract: A foot spa tub includes a tub basin, a first magnetic drive member rotatably coupled to a drive motor, and a first casing supporting the magnetic drive member. The first casing is disposed against an exterior surface of a sidewall of the basin. A second magnetic drive member is rotatably coupled to a blade. The first and second magnetic drive members are magnetically coupled to each other so that the blade is drivingly coupled to the drive motor. A nozzle houses the second magnetic drive member and the blade. The nozzle is detachably securable to an interior surface of the sidewall by a magnetic attraction force between the first and second magnetic drive members. A method of circulating liquid in a foot tub spa is also provided.
