Abstract:
A breast massage device includes a main body; a drive unit installed within the main body; and a massage disk mounted on the main body and electrically coupled with the drive unit so as to be driven rotatably thereby, the massage disk having an external surface that is used for covering a breast and that is contoured to possess at least two arcuated areas extending in an asymmetric inclination manner relative to each other, and a plurality of massage elements mounted rotatably on the arcuated areas such that the massage elements are rotatable relative to the external surface upon activation of the drive unit.
Abstract:
A non-invasive apparatus for rehabilitating a joint, limb, and muscles of a patient recovering from surgery on the joint, includes a continuous passive motion device having at least one support member for supporting the limb, at least one hinge coupled to the at least one support member, and at least one actuator for providing reciprocating motion of the at least one support member about the at least one hinge, a plurality of electrodes transmitting at least four modalities chosen from a group consisting of functional electrical stimulation (FES), transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), temperature therapy stimulation, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prophylactic stimulation, venous blood flow monitoring, and pain monitoring, and a control unit controlling the at least one actuator and the plurality of electrodes according to a coordinated sequence of the reciprocating motion and transmission of the at least four modalities.
Abstract:
Driving modules, motion assistance apparatuses including at least one of the driving modules, and methods of controlling at least one of the motion assistance apparatuses may be provided. For example, a driving module including a driving source on one side of a user and configured to transmit power, an input side rotary body coupled to the driving source and configured to rotate, first and second decelerators configured to operate using the power respectively received from the driving source through the input side rotary body, and a first stopper and a second stopper configured to selectively enable or disable a transmission of the power between the input side rotary body and respective output terminals of the first and second decelerators may be provided.
Abstract:
A device for compressive treatment of a body part includes a compression member, adapted to at least partly encircle the body part, and an actuation unit, arranged to tighten the compression member to provide a compressive force to the body part. Methods are provided for its therapeutic, cosmetic and non-therapeutic use and operation.
Abstract:
A walking rehabilitation and exercise machine in the form of an elliptical style machine closely replicates the mechanical foot motions of walking, while incorporating hand motion to help a disabled or injured person retrain muscles in a proper walking gait and improve physical fitness. The device includes an electrically adjustable seat, independent left or right electrically adjustable stride and an electric flywheel drive to assist the operator.
Abstract:
The present invention is a portable device for administering spinal decompression therapy. The device features a compact size and an innovative tension control mechanism to facilitate, in particular, a therapy for imbibition. The use of fabric for a sling and a platform adds comfort features while reducing weight.
Abstract:
Provided are a fixing module and a motion assistance apparatus including the same, the fixing module including a base body, a plurality of side frames provided on both sides of the base body, and a height adjustment assembly provided on the base body, and on which a driving module is mounted to provide a power, wherein a distance between the plurality of side frames may be adjustable.
Abstract:
A high frequency chest wall oscillation (HFCWO) apparatus for the purpose of lung airway clearance of people includes an inflated vest type garment worn around the chest of a person. An oscillating pressure generator with reduced power requirements and a power source is integrated with the garment so that the complete apparatus is wearable by the person. Improvements in pressure waveforms, safety and compliance to prescribed use are disclosed.
Abstract:
A rotating and extensible swinging massage head unit includes: a ring having an eccentric shaft hole; a swinging arm extending laterally from the ring, the swinging arm having a centrally-located oblong limiting slot, a driven side connected to the ring, and an active side having thereon a massage bump, an eccentric shaft inserted into the eccentric shaft hole of the ring and having therein a central axial pore; a turntable disposed integrally on a top side of the eccentric shaft and being concentric with the central axial pore, wherein a massage hemisphere is disposed protrudingly on a top side of the turntable. Rotation of the eccentric shaft swings the swinging arm to perform a swinging kneading massage and rotates the turntable to perform a rotating massage simultaneously.
