Abstract:
A apparatus includes an a exoskeleton system with a plurality of sensors for generating signals indicating a current motion and a current arrangement of at least the exoskeleton system, a hip segment, and at least one lower limb. The lower limb includes thigh and shank segments for coupling to a lateral surface of a user's leg. The thigh segment includes a first powered joint coupling the thigh segment to the hip segment, a second powered joint coupling the thigh segment to the shank segment, and a controller coupled to the sensors, the first powered joint, and the second powered joint. The controller is configured for determining a current state of the exoskeleton system and a current intent of the user based on the signals and generating control signals for the first and second powered joints based on the current state and the current intent.
Abstract:
Sexual aids, including a device for giving and receiving sexual pleasure comprising at least two handles that are positioned on either side of a bar, are disclosed herein. In some examples, the device includes adjustable handles. In some further examples, the device includes an expandable bar. In still further examples, the device is equipped with specially designed toys, but is also customizable to work with the user's preferred toy.
Abstract:
A method for gathering information relating to the use of a continuous passive motion device can comprise receiving usage information from a continuous passive motion device processing unit. The usage information can comprise at least one duration of time that the continuous passive motion device was used. The method can also comprise storing the usage information such that the usage information is available within a historical dataset. Additionally, the method can comprise displaying at least a portion of the usage information from the historical dataset on a graphical user interface.
Abstract:
An apparatus, method of construction and method of use of a strength training assembly which also has the ability of aiding in user rehabilitation. The apparatus includes an elongate bar with a first end and a second end, with a first retaining member fixed proximate to the first end, and a second retaining member capable of releasably securing one or more weights against the first retaining member.
Abstract:
A mobility system includes an energy module, an exoskeleton and a mobile base. The exoskeleton has an exoskeleton energy module receptacle that can receive the energy module, and the mobile base has a mobile base energy module receptacle that can also receive the energy module. In addition, the mobile base has an exoskeleton support that can support the exoskeleton on the mobile base so that the mobile base can transport the exoskeleton across a support surface.
Abstract:
Spa side panels are trapezoidally-shaped and mounted in respective grooves defined by adjacent tapered corner pieces and their mounting brackets to accommodate differences in coefficients of expansion of the respective parts and prevent structural damage. Angled force transfer members are configured to mate with swept back side surfaces of a spa base pan to achieve a pedestal appearance, and the bottom surface of the base pan is constructed to reduce heat transfer to the spa support surface.
Abstract:
A chair-type massage machine 100 has: a backrest portion 300 being capable of standing on a seat portion 200 and reclining against the seat portion 200; and at least one heater 850 disposed independently from a base portion 400 which is a lower part of the seat portion 200 through a cable 851.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rehabilitation mechanism (30) implemented for planned, automated rehabilitation of at least the joints, muscles, and tendons of the legs (92) of a bedridden patient (90) and comprising at least: a foot module (40) for operatively connecting to the feet (94) of the bedridden patient (90), a knee module (50) for operatively connecting to the knee joints (93) of the bedridden patient (90), and a control module (60) for controlling planned rehabilitation motions of at least the joints, muscles, and tendons of the legs (92) of the bedridden patient (90) by means of the foot (40) and/or knee module (50). The invention is further characterized in that at least the knee module (50) is implemented as a module for disposing between the patient (90) and the mattress (20) and supported directly or indirectly on a bed (11) or mattress frame (21).The modular design of the rehabilitation mechanism (30) has the advantage that bedridden and particularly intensive-care patients (90) can receive planned, automated rehabilitation directly in the bed (10), wherein said bed can be implemented as a hospital bed, clinical bed, gurney, and/or intensive-care bed, without requiring high-risk transfer between beds and/or the ability to cooperatively contribute.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a stimulation device (1) for erogenous zones, in particular for the clitoris (12), wherein the stimulation device (1) has the following: at least one pressure field generating arrangement (2) with at least one first chamber (3) and at least one second chamber (4) having at least one opening (42) for placing on a body part (11); at least one connection element (5) that connects the first chamber (3) to the second chamber (4); a drive unit (6) that varies the volume of the first chamber (3) such that a pressure field that serves for stimulation is generated via the connection element (5) in the second chamber (4); a control device (7) that activates the drive unit (6), and an appendage (140).
Abstract:
A myofascial release device includes a rigid inner core having a first density surrounded by an outer layer having a second density. The second density may be less than the first density to promote myofascial release. The rigid inner core may be a hollow aluminum core and end caps may be placed on either end of the myofascial release device. The overall diameter of the myofascial release device may be between 1.5 and 3 inches, and preferably 2 inches. The inner core may be cooled during manufacturing such that, when the inner core returns to room temperature, the diameter of the inner core is greater than or equal to the inner diameter of the outer layer.
