Abstract: The present invention relates to orthopaedic equipment, and particularly a splint, comprising an articulated assembly associated with a drive member for provoking the relative angular displacement, on the one hand, between articulated sections constituting the assembly and, on the other hand, between said assembly and a support frame, at least one of the sections being extended by a frame supporting an independent traction equipment comprising a traction member, a traction circuit and a traction stirrup. The invention is more particularly applicable to the reeducation of lower limbs.

Abstract: A device for manipulating a user's hand a wrist portion and forearm portion, each having proximal and distal ends. A pivoting connection is operatively coupled with the proximal end of the wrist portion and distal end of the forearm portions such that the wrist portion is pivotally coupled to the forearm portion. The device has a first actuator operatively coupled to the wrist portion and a second actuator operatively coupled to the pivoting connection. The first actuator is configured to apply a rotational force to a hand support coupled to the wrist portion, thereby producing either supination or pronation of a user's wrist. The second actuator is configured to apply a rotational force to the pivoting connection, thereby producing either flexion, extension, abduction, or adduction of a user's wrist, depending upon whether the user's hand is palm-side down or in a thumb's up position.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to devices, systems and methods of assisting blood flow return to the heart from a limb. The device comprising a wearable garment (115) and a compression apparatus (110) embedded in the garment (115) for applying an external compression according to a compression sequence to a muscle of a limb of a user based on real-time measurements regarding a cardiac cycle having a diastolic phase and systolic of the user and real-time measurements of muscle activity. The compression sequence is synchronized to comment when both the local blood flow at the limb is in the diastolic phase and the muscle is in a non-contracted state.
