The silicone layer in these systems may serve as an electrically conducting electrode layer or as a dielectric layer. The method may be configured to be continuous and may be combined with various other coating technologies.

Abstract: The invention relates to a bio-based polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) composition suitable as a binder for fiber based materials, textiles, woven and nonwoven materials, said PEC composition comprising cationic biopolymer, anionic biopolymer, acid and a preservative, and wherein the net charge of the PEC is cationic, the charge ratio of the anionic polymer and the cationic polymer is ≤1, the cationic biopolymer is chitosan, the anionic biopolymer is a polyanion derived from nature, the acid is a Brønsted acid and/or a Lewis acid, wherein the Brønsted acid is selected from any organic and/or inorganic acids, and wherein the Lewis acid is selected from any cationic mono- or multivalent atom, the weight ratio between cation and anion is 1:0.1 to 1:20, the weight ratio between the cation and acid is 1:0.01 to 1:30, chitosan has a degree of deacetylation being 66-100%, the pH is less than 7, and wherein said composition further comprises one or more fatty compounds as well as methods and use thereof. The present invention further relates to a method for preparing the PEC composition, uses of the PEC composition, as well as method of treating materials with the PEC composition.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method of printing onto the surface of a substrate, which method comprises i) coating a donor surface with a monolayer of particles, ii) treating the substrate surface to render at least selected regions tacky, and iii) contacting the substrate surface with the donor surface to cause particles to transfer from the donor surface only to the tacky regions of the substrate surface. After printing on a substrate, the donor surface returns to the coating station where the continuity of the monolayer is restored by recovering with fresh particles the regions of the donor surface exposed by the transfer of particles to the substrate.

Abstract: There is provided a method for processing an inner wall surface of a micro vacancy, capable of reliably etching or cleaning even if the hole provided to the substrate to be processed is narrow and deep. The substrate has a surface and a micro vacancy with an opening on the surface. An aspect ratio of the micro vacancy being at least 5, or the aspect ratio being less than 5 and a ratio of a micro vacancy volume to a surface area of the opening being at least 3. The micro vacancy is exposed to an atmosphere for forming a silicon oxide film so as to form a silicon oxide film on the inner wall surface of the micro vacancy. Subsequently a processing solution with a wettability with respect to silicon oxide is introduced into the micro vacancy so as to perform processing of the inner wall surface.

Abstract: A fluid dispensing machine includes a frame and a fixture held by the frame. The fixture is configured to support a substrate. A positioning system is supported by the frame. A guidance system is supported by the positioning system. The guidance system has a camera viewing the fixture that is movable relative to the fixture. A fluid dispenser is supported by the positioning system and is moved by the positioning system relative to the fixture. The fluid dispenser is configured to dispense fluid onto the substrate. A controller communicates with the positioning system and the guidance system. The controller operates the positing system to control a position of the fluid dispenser relative to the fixture based on an image obtained by the camera.
