Abstract:
A device for providing electric stimulation for treatment of medical and non-medical conditions connected with blood circulation in legs. The device includes means for generating a shaped electrical impulse according to a pre-stored timing pattern. A means for conditioning the shaped impulse is coupled to said generating means and means for applying the conditioned shaped impulse to a user for causing a deep and painless contraction of a user's calf muscles, which in turn activate blood circulation and improve venous return from legs.
Abstract:
Apparatus for automatic delivery of chest compressions and ventilation to a patient, the apparatus including: a chest compressing device configured to deliver compression phases during which pressure is applied to compress the chest and decompression phases during which approximately zero pressure is applied to the chest a ventilator configured to deliver positive, negative, or approximately zero pressure to the airway; control circuitry and processor, wherein the circuitry and processor are configured to cause the chest compressing device to repeatedly deliver a set containing a plurality of systolic flow cycles, each systolic flow cycle comprising a systolic decompression phase and a systolic compression phase, and at least one diastolic flow cycle interspersed between sets of systolic flow cycles, each diastolic flow cycle comprising a diastolic decompression phase and a diastolic compression phase, wherein the diastolic decompression phase is substantially longer than the systolic decompression phase.

Abstract:
A pulse wave generator includes a housing having a pressure field generator from which individually controllable pressure pulses can be emitted, a pressure pulse focusing unit by which the pressure pulses can be focused at the focusing point in, or on, a body of a living being, a pressure coupler, from which the pressure pulses can be transmitted to the body, a controller for the intensity and point in time of each pressure pulse, at least one further field generator being integrated by which the individually controllable field pulses can be generated in the focusing point and the intensity and time of each pulse can be controlled.
Abstract:
A health booth includes a telescopic and pivotal board including two telescopic units having one ends pivotably attached to a board; a seat assembly including two parallel columns mounted on the other side wall, a horizontal bar slidably put on the columns, a telescopic support post mounted between the horizontal bar and a bottom, and a collapsible seat secured to the horizontal bar, and a pivot assembly including a channel mounted onto one side wall, two torsion springs in the channel, two outer cylindrical members each together with one inner cylindrical member to dispose the other ends of the telescopic units therein, and two groups of a plurality of fasteners wherein each group of the fasteners are driven through the outer cylindrical member into the inner cylindrical member to fasten the other ends of the telescopic units.
Abstract:
A device having a number of exercise therapy systems contained within a single housing is capable of providing multiple exercise therapies to a predetermined position of a user's body and thus efficiently exercising those portions of the user's body. To provide additional convenience, the device includes a user control panel that is movably coupled to the housing, thereby allowing removal in a manner which allow for easy user access. The multiple therapies can include both a vibration therapy and an electrical stimulation therapy, thus providing for more efficient exercising of the user's muscle tissue adjacent the housing.
Abstract:
A device having a first stimulation unit that generates electrical first stimuli suppressing a pathological synchronous activity of neurons in the brain and/or spinal cord of a patient upon administering the same to the brain and/or spinal cord of the patient, a second stimulation unit that generates optical and/or acoustic and/or tactile and/or vibratory second stimuli, and a controller that controls the first and the second stimulation units. The generation of the first and second stimuli optionally occurs in a first or in a second operating mode, and the controller actuates the first and the second stimulation units such that in the first operating mode the generation of at least 60% of the second stimuli is chronologically coupled to the generation of the first stimuli, and in the second operating mode the generation of at least 60% of the second stimuli is carried out without generating the first stimuli.
Abstract:
Venous therapy methods and apparatus improve arterial or venous blood flow, for example in the legs. Venous therapy can reduce venous backflow and can improve arterial therapy such as that provided by intermittent pneumatic compression therapy.
Abstract:
The present invention provides, in at least one embodiment, a skin care device and system for treating skin. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a skin care device implements a high-frequency sonic or ultrasound emitter to exfoliate, cleanse, and smooth skin in combination with light therapy. Advanced microfiber brush heads are interchangeable and vary in color to provide different colored light therapy to the skin. The present invention can be used every day to help refresh skin cells, improve surface texture, and prepare the skin to better absorb cosmeceutical beauty treatments.
Abstract:
The present invention is a portable integrated sound, physioacoustic, and colored light apparatus. This is a self-contained electrically powered device designed to stimulate and facilitate the human body's innate self-healing mechanisms. The active components are housed in a portable pyramidal-shaped lower enclosure (100) with a single recessed panel (102) on one side of the unit containing a user interface for controlling the pitch and tonal quality of the generated sound and physioacoustic frequencies. The unit also contains specified colored light elements situated under a quartz crystal pyramid capstone (108) which react with the sound frequencies by increasing and decreasing in intensity. The user or therapist has the capability to access the electronically generated sound source to achieve a wide variety of tonal sound and vibrational components, as well as the ability to select the desired colored light therapy component.
