Abstract:
The invention is a method consisting of stimulation of specific new acupuncture points to prevent, detect, treat and heal specific types of neoplastic process in humans. The specific acupuncture points used in the method of the invention have not been previously disclosed for the treatment of neoplastic processes. The treatments can be carried out by accredited practitioners in a clinical setting or by the patient her/himself at home. The stimulation can be provided by any of the known techniques used for stimulation of controlling points, including, but not limited to, traditional acupuncture needles, auto-injector needles, electric acupuncture, acupressure, lasers, acupuncture lasers, UV radiation, infra-red radiation, heat, magnets, moxibustion, and a combination of two or more of these techniques, for example, the use of both needles and laser acupuncture simultaneously in a single treatment session. The method of the invention is also used for detection and prevention of neoplastic process.
Abstract:
A functional electrical stimulation step and stand system comprising two footplates (left and right) connected to a primary drive motor that cause the footplates to move in a reciprocal motion. The footplates are further connected to corresponding servos, which allow for control of the movement of the footplate with respect to an axis. System comprises an electrical stimulation control unit. The stimulation step and stand system further comprises a control unit that has electrical stimulation leads connected to electrode that deliver an electrical impulse to a patient's muscles. In a further embodiment, the control unit has one or more wireless stimulators.
Abstract:
A method of treatment of a condition such as deep vein thrombosis, arterial insufficiency, lymphedema, pulmonary embolism, and pain includes use of a pneumatic compression wrap, pump, and medicament to provide compression on the body part of a patient and a pharmaceutical beneficial in treating the condition. Deep vein thrombosis, arterial insufficiency, lymphedema, pulmonary embolism, and pain can also be treated by an electrotherapy device utilizing a hydrogel patch containing a medicament. Apparatus and systems for performing the methods of treatment can be utilized.
Abstract:
Systems and methods directed to the art of therapeutic thermal compression are provided. A therapeutic device capable of providing various therapeutic stimuli, including thermal energy transfer and applied pressure. The therapeutic device has a heating/cooling system, a temperature moderating system, a compression system, and a control system which controls the amount of pressure applied, the degree of temperature applied, and the duration of each application of therapeutic stimuli.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for foot zone therapy. The device includes a frame (1, 11), and a base (2, 12) provided with knobs (3a) for pressing the foot sole against. The knobs (3a) are laid out in an area essentially consistent with the length and shape of a foot sole. The base (2, 12) is either a rotatable roll (2) or a panel (12) divided for discrete zones (A, B. C, D), whereby rotating the roll or changing a relative height position of the zones in the flat panel enables the foot sole to be contacted alternately with various knobby zones. The device is adapted for such an operation that the effect of the knobs (3a) always proceeds from heel towards toes.
Abstract:
In an apparatus for muscle stimulation with at least one motor and with two motor-operated drives, wherein each of these drives and a stepping plates are mounted in a frame and each of these drives is a revolving linkage square and the driven drive member is in each case a crank mounted in the frame, a crank and a stepping plate are in each case connected in an articulated manner by means of a coupling member providing for an apparatus for muscle stimulation with stepping plates that can be operated both with low and also with high stroke frequencies.
Abstract:
One embodiment of a sex toy for simulating a sexual encounter by a user having a base unit being substantially hour glass shape comprising a configuration of members for engagement by a user's feet. The body assembly is an elongated tubular member and is mated to the front end of the base unit. A support arm having a stimulating element attached to its distal end is attached to the body assembly. A pair of elongated tubular members each comprising a strapping mechanism are also for engagement of the user's feet and are threaded to the right and left sides of the base unit. In use, a user gets into the desired position with the apparatus between the user's legs. After insertion of the stimulating element, the user manipulates the apparatus by use of hands or feet or both hands and feet together.
Abstract:
A vibratory assembly is provided that incorporates a vibratory mechanism worn by a sexual participant on one or more digits of an articulating member for the sexual exploration and stimulation of erogenous zones. A modular erogenous stimulation system including the vibratory assembly is also provided along with a kit for providing erogenous stimulation to at least one participant.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a non-slip footwear which comprises a main body formed of a flexible material and formed to surround the sole of a foot of a user and to open the top side of the foot; toe insertion holes formed of the flexible material, protruding from the front part of the main body so that toes of the foot are respectively inserted into the toe insertion holes; an non-slip outsole formed at the heel part of the main body and formed of foamed rubber having abrasion resistance, and having a thickness of 1 mm˜5 mm; and non-slip dots formed at the sole part of the main body and the non-slip outsole.
Abstract:
A muscular strength assisting apparatus may include: a wearing unit configured to enclose a part of a user's body; a tightening unit configured to pull the wearing unit in one or both directions; and/or a control unit configured to drive the tightening unit to tighten the part of the user's body on which the wearing unit is located, when it is determined that muscular contraction occurs at the part of the user's body on which the wearing unit is located. A method of controlling a muscular strength assisting apparatus may include: determining whether muscular contraction occurs at a part of a user's body that is enclosed by a wearing unit; and/or driving a tightening unit pulling the wearing unit in one direction or both directions to tighten the part of the user's body on which the wearing unit is located when it is determined that the muscular contraction occurs.
