Abstract: An optical module 1A includes a mirror unit 2 including a movable mirror 22 and a fixed mirror 16, a beam splitter unit 3, a light incident unit 4, a first light detector 6, a second light source 7, a second light detector 8, a holding unit 130, a first mirror 51, a second mirror 52, and a third mirror 53. The holding unit 130 holds the first light detector 6, the second light detector 8, and the second light source 7 so as to face that same side, and to be aligned in this order. A length of an optical path between the unit 3 and the detector 6 is shorter than a length of an optical path between the unit 3 and the detector 8, and a length of an optical path between the unit 3 and the source 7.

Abstract: Systems and methods for imaging a target object are provided. In one example, a multispectral imager includes an objective lens configured to disperse light from a target object with a high degree of longitudinal chromatic aberrations along an optical axis of the objective lens. The multispectral imager also includes a sensor configured to capture a whole image of the target object at each of a plurality of wavelengths when at least one of the objective lens and the sensor is moved along the optical axis. Furthermore, the multispectral imager includes a processor configured to analyze intensities of different additive primary colors of each pixel of each whole image to determine which pixels have a correct wavelength.

Abstract: A measurement system comprises a pulsed laser diode array that includes one or more Bragg reflectors, and wherein the light generated by the array penetrates tissue comprising skin. At least some of the wavelengths of light are in the near infrared. The detection system is synchronized to the laser diode array and comprises an infrared camera and a first receiver comprising a plurality of detectors. The first receiver comprises one or more detector arrays and performs a time-of-flight measurement. The measurement system generates an image, the detection system non-invasively measures blood in blood vessels within or below a dermis layer within the skin based at least in part on near-infrared diffuse reflection from the skin, and the detection system measures absorption of hemoglobin between 700 and 1300 nanometers wavelength range. A processor compares the absorption of hemoglobin between different tissue spatial locations, and the measurement system processes the time-of-flight measurement.

Abstract: An apparatus for analyzing light includes an input aperture for receiving light; a first set of one or more lenses configured to relay light from the input aperture; and a prism assembly configured to disperse light from the first set of one or more lenses. The prism assembly includes a plurality of prisms that includes a first prism, a second prism that is distinct from the first prism, and a third prism that is distinct from the first prism and the second prism. The first prism is mechanically coupled with the second prism and the second prism is mechanically coupled with the third prism. The apparatus also includes a second set of one or more lenses configured to focus the dispersed light from the prism assembly; and an array detector configured for converting the light from the second set of one or more lenses to electrical signals.

A receiver to: receive and process at least a portion of the analysis output beam reflected or transmitted from the sample, generate an output signal, and synchronize to the light source. A smart phone or tablet to: receive and process at least a portion of the output signal, store and display the processed output signal, and transmit at least a portion of the processed output signal. A cloud to: receive an output status comprising the at least a portion of the processed output signal, process the received output status to generate processed data, and store the processed data.

Abstract: A smart phone or tablet includes a first part having at least one laser diode configured to be pulsed, and a second part having at least one other laser diode, the laser diodes configured to generate near-infrared light, wherein at least some of the laser diodes comprise a distributed Bragg reflector, with some laser diode light directed to tissue including skin. An array of laser diodes generates near-infrared light and includes one or more distributed Bragg reflectors. An assembly in front of the array to forms light spots on the tissue. A first receiver includes detectors that receive light reflected from the tissue. An infrared camera generates data from light reflected from the tissue. The smart phone or tablet generates a two-dimensional or three-dimensional image or mapping using the infrared camera data, and includes a wireless receiver, a wireless transmitter, a display, a voice input module, and a speaker.

Abstract: A smart phone or tablet includes laser diodes, at least some of which may be pulsed and generate near-infrared light and include Bragg reflectors to direct light to tissue/skin. An array of laser diodes generates near-infrared light and has an assembly in front of the array that forms the light into a plurality of spots on the tissue/skin. A receiver includes detectors that receive light reflected from the tissue/skin. An infrared camera receives light reflected from the tissue/skin and generates data based on the received light. The smart phone or tablet is configured to generate a two-dimensional or three-dimensional image using at least part of the data from the infrared camera.
