Abstract:
A solid state oscillator circuit for operation at very high frequencies includes a field effect transistor having an input network connected between its gate and source electrodes and an output network connected between its drain and source electrodes, the input and output networks each including three discrete capacitors connected in a "pi" configuration, the input and output networks being connected in series with one another, and an inductor being connected in parallel with the series connected networks, the equivalent circuit impedance of the networks in series and the inductance determining the operating frequency of the oscillator circuit, and the relative ratio of impedance of the networks determining the amount of oscillator feedback.
Abstract:
A fountain toothbrush is described which comprises a bristle carrier having bristles, a handle containing a reservoir for liquid or pasty dentifrice, a duct leading from the reservoir to the bristles, and actuating means which urge the reservoir in a direction out of the handle. A piston has a passage connected to the duct and to the interior of the reservoir and a cylinder sleeve part is provided on the reservoir into which the piston protrudes. When the piston is pushed into the sleeve part towards the reservoir, dentifrice is conveyed onto the bristles. To achieve a hermetic sealing and simultaneously a more exact dosage of the dentifrice, the piston further comprises a valve body which is displaceable relative to the piston and adapted for obturating, toward the end of each stroke of the piston into the sleeve part of the reservoir, an opening connecting the interior of the reservoir with the interior of the sleeve part, and frees this opening again when the piston and the sleeve part are displaced away from one another.
Abstract:
A TV tuner has a housing and a rotating channel selector shaft mounted on the housing. There are a plurality of individual support members positioned by and mounted on parallel flatted areas of the shaft, which flatted areas vary in size to assure correct placement of the support members. Individual coil strips, each carrying a tuning screw, are fixed to the shaft assembly. A simplified clutching arrangement for controlling adjustment of the screws utilizes a coil spring to provide the initial force for moving a pinion gear into operating engagement with the tuning screws. The tuning screws are held by resilient arms which bias the head of the screws toward the shaft to thus firmly maintain the screws in any adjusted position. Each of the coil strips have contacts extending outwardly from one side and positioned to be in electrical and mechanical contact with cantilever spring members fastened to a printed circuit board which in turn is held by the housing.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to water soluble or dispersible polyester compositions, comprising a polyalkylene glycol monoalkyl ether, having mixed nonionic and ionic stabilization prepared in a conventional single step random condensation polymerization. The present invention is also directed to aqueous coating compositions, useful for finishing automobile and truck exteriors, containing a polyester resin with mixed ionic and nonionic stabilization. The coating is especially useful for forming metallic glamour latex based finishes on automobile and truck exteriors that have excellent chip resistance and appearance.
Abstract:
Objects such as for example printed circuit boards are transported for treating through a treatment container which accommodates a treating medium in a lower plane being supported by clamps of object supports, and then the object supports with the clamps are returned to a starting position in an upper plane.
Abstract:
In a method for continuously jacketing steel objects particularly tubing including the steps of cleaning the object by means of blasting its surface; chromatizing the cleaned surface by exposing the surface to a silicate containing watery solution of 3 and/or 6 valued chromium compound or compounds, drying the object at a temperature preferably between 105 degrees C. and 130 degrees C. which is well below the temperature necessary either for an application of a bonding and cover layer and/or for curing of the epoxy resin; a blend being applied prior to conversion of the chromatizing medium and any chromium iron compounds into a thermally stable intermediate layer including a chromium iron silicate oxide layer, the application of epoxy resin curing agent is carried out in two steps to obtain at least two sublayers, the first one of the layer being more reactive than the second one at temperature below 170 degrees C. and the two sublayers are cured together thereafter at a temperature between 170 to 240 degrees C., the first sublayer is applied in the liquidous state and the second layer is applied as a powder.
Abstract:
A device for electroplating electric circuit boards includes an electroplating bath and a plurality of transporting organs which hold objects to be treated when they path the electroplating bath. The transporting organs are pairs of clamping yokes arranged on a common endless rotating belt and positionable from a clamping position in which they engage the object being treated and a release position in which they release said object.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the recovery of spraying substance when spraying elongated rolled stock. Difficulties are met when trying to recover water-dilutable or water-soluble coating agents since after evaporation of the solvent, i.e. the water, the film which is left can no longer be dissolved by water and thus it is no longer possible to recover this fraction of the spraying substance. According to the invention, therefore, it is proposed to carry out the spraying in a water-saturated atmosphere so that the excess spraying substance can easily be recovered. The apparatus is appropriately constructed to correspond to these circumstances.

A dispenser device comprising a reservoir for a flowable or fluent filled material as well as a piston pump equipped with a valve arrangement. The valve arrangement is coaxially dispositioned with regard to the pump and possesses parts connected with the piston and parts connected with the cylinder of the piston pump.
Abstract:
A method for processing traffic in an optical network. The optical network includes a transport network with a first fiber and a second fiber, wherein traffic over the first and second fibers is conveyed in opposite directions. A first traffic is branched off from the first fiber towards an optical entity and the first traffic is processed at the optical entity. A second traffic is fed from the optical entity onto the second fiber. There is also described a corresponding optical network.
