A wire harness sheet 11 includes a first self-adhesive layer 15 of a sheet base material 13, the first self-adhesive layer 15 being is formed on one surface of a first common region 27, and the other surface of the first common region 27 becoming a first adhesive layer unformed portion 29; and a second self-adhesive layer 17 that is formed on at least part of one surface of a second common region 31.
Abstract:
A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet containing, on a substrate or a release material, a resin layer that includes a resin part (X) containing a resin as a main component, and a particle part (Y) consisting of fine particles, at least a surface (α) of the resin layer being opposite to the side thereof on which the substrate or the release material is provided having pressure sensitive adhesiveness, wherein one or more concave portions exist on the surface (α), and when the surface (α) of the resin layer is adhered to a smooth surface of a light transmissive adherend having a smooth surface to give a laminate, the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet satisfies the following requirements (1) and (2). Requirement (1): in an environment at 23° C. and 50% RH, the areal ratio (S1) of the attached area against the smooth surface of the light transmissive adherend to the surface (α) before heating is 10 to 95%. Requirement (2): after the laminate is statically left in an environment at 80° C. for 30 minutes, the area increase rate {[(S2−S1)/S1]×100} calculated from the areal ratio (S2) of the attached area after heating of the smooth surface of the light transmissive adherend to the surface (α) and the areal ratio (S1) thereof before heating, is −10 to 20%.
Abstract:
The aim of the invention is to improve an impairment to the adherence of an adhesive tape to a substrate caused by the inclusion of air bubbles between the adhesive tape and the substrate. According to the invention, said aim is achieved by means of an adhesive tape which comprises at least one adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer has at least one groove and none of the grooves extends as far as one of the lateral edges of the adhesive layer. The invention further relates to a release liner having a surface which has at least one ridge, wherein none of the ridges extends as far as one of the lateral edges of the release liner.
Abstract:
A process is provided to create a strip of selectively pressure-sensitive adhesive material. A first roller unwinds a backing and a roller dispenses a series of separated areas of inhibited adhesive material. A second roller applies a continuous layer of adhesive material over the inhibited adhesive material and backing. A facing is applied over the continuous layer of adhesive material. The machine then winds the finished material. A removable backing is coated with non-sticky material and then covered by a continuous sticky layer of material. A face stock material is then applied over the continuous sticky layer.
Abstract:
A plastic binding strip jointing/fusing structure includes a plastic binding strip having a plastic binding strip body. The plastic binding strip includes first and second ends connected to each other. The plastic binding strip further includes two longitudinal sides parallel to each other. Two mutually facing faces of the first and second ends form two overlapped contact faces. The first and second ends of the plastic binding strip body are heated between the two overlapped contact faces. Each overlapped contact face includes at least one hot melt engaging section and at least one non-melt section. The at least one non-melt section of each overlapped contact face is disposed on and blocks a lateral side of the at least one hot-melt engaging section. The at least one hot melt engaging sections of the two overlapped contact faces of the first and second ends engage with each other after hot melting.
Abstract:
Methods of making adhesive articles providing air egress by supplying a route for the air to flow out from under the construction are described. One method includes providing a release liner comprising a moldable layer having a release surface and a back surface; applying a first pattern of a first non-adhesive material to a first portion of the release surface; applying a second pattern of a second non-adhesive material to a second portion of the release surface, wherein the second pattern partially overlaps the first pattern; embedding at least one of the first or second non-adhesive materials into the moldable layer; and transferring an adhesive layer having a front and back surface and end edges onto the release liner, wherein the front surface of the adhesive layer is adhered to the release surface of the release liner.
Abstract:
Linerless labels are presented. A label includes a specific pattern or set of patterns of adhesive applied to one side of the label. The adhesive pattern(s) reduces contact between a cutter blade of a printer and the adhesive on the one side of the label. Moreover, the adhesive patterns reduce buildup of adhesive on the cutter blade and reduce buildup at specific locations on the cutter blade. That is, the adhesive patterns more evenly distribute adhesive buildup across the cutter blade. Consequently, the cutter blade can be used for a longer period of time before the cutter blade needs to be cleaned of the adhesive.
Abstract:
A method of making a microstructured adhesive article that includes (a) providing an article comprising a crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed on a backing; and (b) embossing the surface of the crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer to form a crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer having a microstructured adhesive surface.
Abstract:
A tape for attaching objects to a subject includes a strip of high stretch woven material having a first face and an opposed second face. A first adhesive is on the first face in a discontinuous pattern. A second adhesive is on the second face.
Abstract:
Provided is a laminate sheet with which degradation of the appearance after its application can be highly prevented while maintaining good adhesive properties. The laminate sheet provided by this invention is a long laminate sheet having an adhesive surface. The laminate sheet comprises a PSA layer forming the adhesive surface and an air-impermeable substrate sheet supporting the PSA layer. The substrate sheet surface is partially provided with the PSA layer, whereby the substrate sheet surface has a PSA-bearing area and a PSA-free area. The PSA-free area includes at least a strip-shaped area. The strip-shaped area runs at angles intersecting the width-direction edges of the laminate sheet.
