Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed that support the aggregation of acknowledgement messages and control messages. Advantageously, acknowledgement and negative acknowledgement indications for multiple client nodes are combined into a single aggregated message which is broadcast or multicast to the multiple client nodes. Based on unique identifiers assigned to each client node, client nodes are grouped such that the aggregated acknowledgement messages can be efficiently encoded to conserve both network capacity when they are transmitted, as well as processing capacity when they are parsed by the client nodes. If code division multiple access (CDMA) technology is used, the aggregated acknowledgment message can be transmitted without CDMA spreading to effectively broadcast or multicast it to multiple client nodes. A similar technique can be employed for the efficient broadcast or multicast of aggregated control messages.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing efficient downlink Hybrid Automatic Request (HARQ) feedback. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless device in a cellular communications system comprises receiving a downlink control information message comprising a HARQ feedback buffer index and storing a downlink HARQ feedback flag in a position within a HARQ feedback buffer that corresponds to the HARQ feedback buffer index. In this manner, multiple downlink HARQ feedback flags can be stored in the HARQ feedback buffer and subsequently transmitted to a network node in an efficient manner.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples is a method for providing a HARQ response in an LTE network for a PUCCH format 1b. The method includes receiving one or more downlink assignments of a bundling window over a wireless downlink control channel; setting a reception status for each sub-frame of a downlink data channel in the bundling window based on whether the sub-frame on the downlink data channel was associated with a particular one of the received downlink assignments and based upon whether the sub-frame was successfully received; setting a reception status of sub-frames of the downlink data channel in the bundling window that did not have a corresponding downlink assignment to a predetermined value; and transmitting a response, the response based upon the reception statuses set by the response module.

Abstract: Described herein is datagram segmentation and acknowledgment in a network. A communication node in the network may determine a length of a datagram is greater than a maximum protocol data unit (PDU) length of a protocol of the network and create a segmented message comprising the datagram and a payload length field indicating the length of the datagram. The node may then segment the segmented message into segments and create a PDU comprising one or more of the segments and a segment number least significant bits (LSB) field comprising least significant bits of a segment number associated with the one or more segments. The PDUs may be acknowledged using selective acknowledgment (SACK) messages. The SACK message may comprise a SACK type indicator, a segment number most significant bits (SN_MSB) indicator, and a payload comprising one or more least significant bits (LSBs) of a segment of the segmented message.

Abstract: A payment reader and a merchant device may communicate over a wireless connection. Reliable and unreliable packets may be transmitted over a single messaging path. Each of a plurality of unreliable packet may include a data payload and a packet identifier. The unreliable packets and a reliable packet may be transmitted over the single messaging path during a first connection event. A response to the reliable packet may be received during the second event and may include a received packet listing. If the received packet listing indicates that any of the unreliable packets were not received, any unreliable packet that was not received may be retransmitted.

Abstract: A packet processing method, the method includes, receiving TCP packets from a wireless access point. An A-MSDU packet is created by aggregating TCP ACK frames generated by the received TCP packets. When the current data transmission speed is less than or equal to a first threshold value and timeout for the A-MSDU packet sent to the wireless access point continuously occurs over a first predefined time, a transmission time interval is reduced by the first preset value and the packet size value is re-calculated according to the adjusted transmission time interval. When the current data transmission speed is greater than or equal to the second threshold value and the size of the created A-MSDU packet that achieves the packet size value occurs over a second predefined time, the packet size value is increased by the second preset value.

Abstract: The present embodiments solve the problem of low-quality stored footage from video stream by storing copies of data packets at a local storage device of the A/V recording and communication device. The locally stored data is subsequently (e.g., after the live stream has terminated) uploaded to a remote storage device. If any data packets are lost during the upload process, those lost data packets can be re-sent from the local storage device to the remote storage device so that the complete recording can be stored at the remote storage device. The subsequent upload process may, in some embodiments, comprise a reliable data transfer protocol.

Abstract: Rather than using a large number of transceivers (transmitter/receiver pairs) operating in parallel, Access Points with multiple channels are used to aggregate, or stack, transmitted response communications, e.g., transmitting multiple acknowledgements (ACKs) in a single packet to one or more sources of received packets. The method includes sending on a plurality of channels, by each of a plurality of respective first nodes, a communication to a second node, receiving on the plurality of channels, by the second node, the communication from each of the plurality of first nodes and sending, by the second node, a transmission that contains a response to each communication that was successfully received from each of the plurality of first nodes. The response to each of the plurality of first nodes is part of a single message sent by the second node.
