Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for providing a non-linear fluid stream into an environment for cooling purposes are disclosed. Such an apparatus includes a body portion and a nozzle, the nozzle being adapted to direct water into the environment. Such an apparatus may include a body portion having a flow channel defined therein for gas flow therethrough; and, a nozzle operatively disposed within the flow channel; said nozzle adapted to direct a liquid therefrom; wherein the channel and the nozzle are operatively disposed relative to each other so that a gas flowing through the channel and the liquid are combined into a fluid stream directed from the apparatus into the surrounding environment.

Abstract: A spray device includes a first spray tip having a first fluid pathway defining a first flow area, and a second spray tip includes a second fluid pathway that defines a second flow area that is larger than the first flow area of the first spray tip. The first and second spray tips are side-by-side and spaced from one another at a distal end of the spray device. When a first fluid having a volumetric flow rate is introduced into the first spray tip and a second fluid having the same volumetric flow rate is introduced into the second spray tip, the first fluid will flow through the first fluid pathway at a greater velocity than the second fluid will flow through the second fluid pathway.

Abstract: A pneumatic atomizing nozzle (10) which in a preferred form can be supplied with gas by means of a fan (43). The pneumatic atomizing nozzle (10) has a nozzle body (11), which bounds a flow space (21). The pneumatic atomizing nozzle (10) also has a liquid channel (27) having an outlet opening (38). Within the flow space (21), a liquid film (41) is formed, which is transported within the flow space (21) to a nozzle outlet (17) by the gas flow. The outlet opening (38) of the liquid channel (27) defines an outlet direction (A) for the liquid into the flow space (21), which in the preferred embodiment is opposite the flow direction (S) of the liquid film (41). At least in some sections, the liquid channel (27) and the outlet opening (38) extend transversely through the nozzle body (11) in a curved, wound, or meandering manner.

Abstract: A swirler includes a swirler body defining a longitudinal axis. A stack of swirler plates is assembled to the swirler body stacked in a direction along the longitudinal axis. Each of the swirl plates defines a vane portion. The swirler plates are mounted rotated circumferentially about the longitudinal axis relative to neighboring ones of the swirler plates so the vane portions form a swirler vane.

Abstract: A static spray mixer for mixing and spraying two flowable components includes a tubular mixer housing extending in the direction of a longitudinal axis up to a distal end with an outlet opening, having one mixing element arranged in the mixer housing for mixing the components and having an atomization sleeve with an inner surface surrounding the mixer housing in an end region. The atomization sleeve has an inlet channel for a pressurized atomization medium. A plurality of grooves is in the outer surface of the mixer housing or in the inner surface of the atomization sleeve and extend toward the distal end and form separate flow channels between the atomization sleeve and the mixer housing through which the atomization medium flows from the inlet channel of the atomization sleeve to the distal end of the mixer housing. The inlet channel is arranged asymmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A spray nozzle assembly having a nozzle body and a downstream air cap. The air cap has a central opening through which liquid is directed and a plurality of circumferentially spaced air passages oriented at a compound angle to the central flow axis of the air cap opening for directing pressurized air flow streams that interact with discharging liquid for atomizing the liquid while imparting a tangential direction to the atomized liquid for enhanced atomization and a swirling movement into a full cone spray pattern. The air cap may have an integrally formed spray tip or a separate spray tip may be associated with the nozzle body. The air cap may be formed with a downstream conical recess into which liquid and air streams are directed, or alternatively, be designed for atomizing liquid internally within the air cap.
