Abstract:
Communication-identifier-assigned image data is transmitted via a set channel using the same as a communication identifier set for each image transmitter and a channel set in transmission. Then, a receiver which has received a plurality of image data items stores the received image data items, communication identifiers, and channels in such a manner that the received image data items are related to the communication identifiers and channels. Thumbnailed images in each image data item are displayed on one screen. When an image is selected from the thumbnailed images, an image transmitter that has transmitted the image is determined on the basis of the communication identifier and channel related to the selected image and is connected exclusively to the receiver. Images acquired from this time on are enlarged and displayed chronologically on a display section. The image transmitter and receiver constitute a wireless communication system.
Abstract:
A controlling device may be configured to perform a wireless setting process for connecting a target wireless printer to a wireless network according to an automatic wireless setting mode, acquire unique identification information of the target wireless printer from the target wireless printer by performing a communication without usage of an IP layer when the wireless setting process is performed, acquire one or more unique identification information of one or more printers from the one or more printers by performing a communication with usage of the IP layer after an IP address has been set to the target wireless printer, determine a specific printer among the one or more printers as the target wireless printer, generate a print port, which is different from a WSD port, for the specific printer determined as the target wireless printer, and install a printer driver for the specific printer.
Abstract:
An apparatus for outputting an image is provided. The apparatus includes a detection portion that detects a state of electronic paper placed on a predetermined location, and a transmission portion that sends, to the electronic paper, image data for displaying an image depending on the state of the electronic paper.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an optical imaging device that includes an elongate housing. An infrared sensor arrangement is arranged in the housing and is configured to sense information printed on a page with infrared ink. The device also includes a radio frequency transceiver arranged in the housing and operatively connected to the sensor arrangement for communicating said information wirelessly. A pair of orthogonal accelerometers mounted in the housing in a plane normal to an elongate axis of the housing. The accelerometers enable the device to sense direction and speed of motion without reference to a location on the page. Also included is a controller circuit for controlling operation of the sensor arrangement, the transceiver, and the accelerometers.
Abstract:
A wireless mode between a scanner and an image communication apparatus is changed, in response to completion of image transmission from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, completion of print of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, completion of transmission via a communication line connected to the image communication apparatus of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, instructions to stop print of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, instructions to stop transmission via the communication line connected to the image communication apparatus of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, and states of the scanner and the image communication apparatus at a predetermined time and so on. For example, a low power consumption mode and communication mode of Bluetooth communication are switched to each other.
Abstract:
A camera capable of capturing still images and video and included in a portable media device can be controlled remotely using an accessory. The accessory can register with the PMD to automatically receive notifications whenever there is a change in the camera state. The camera states can include mode, operation status, and configuration settings. The accessory can send instructions to a camera application that interfaces with the camera to control the camera. The accessory can remotely activate the camera, change camera mode, and send instructions to operate the camera. The accessory and the PMD can concurrently control the camera. The PMD can send the captured still images and recorded video to the accessory for preview and receive instructions from the accessory on disposition of the still images and the video.
Abstract:
In a photographing apparatus, an encoding part creates a code image from authentication information of the photographing apparatus. A photographing part takes a photograph of a connection code image displayed on a display part of another apparatus. A decoding part decodes the connection code image contained in the photograph taken by the photographing part to decode encoded connection information containing communication setup information, which has been encoded according to the authentication information of the photographing apparatus. A restoration part restores the communication setup information from the encoded connection information by using the authentication information of the photographing apparatus. A radio communication part communicates with the another apparatus by using the communication setup information restored by the restoration part.
Abstract:
In an image output apparatus for outputting an image supplied from an image supply apparatus, the image supply apparatus and the image output apparatus are connected wirelessly and send and receive data. The state of the wireless connection is determined and the image to be output is changed in accordance with the determined state of the connection.
Abstract:
Wireless communication equipment which associates with a plurality of sets of peripheral equipment present in a prescribed range through wireless communication stores identification code information regarding the associated peripheral equipment, acquires identification code information from the peripheral equipment present in the prescribed range, and determines whether or not the peripheral equipment has already associated on the basis of the identification code information. If the peripheral equipment has not been associated, the wireless communication equipment stores the identification code information by associating them with an image. If the peripheral equipment has been associated, the wireless communication equipment displays the associated image stored by associating them with the acquired identification code information, and connects to the corresponding peripheral equipment in response to the selection of the displayed and associated image.
Abstract:
To provide a new framework that can flexibly take images of a moving target in remote monitoring without the need to arrange a plurality of network cameras, an autonomously movable moving body is used to take an image of a photographic target in accordance with a request from a user terminal, and the photographic image is provided to the user terminal. The moving body includes: a position estimating unit that acquires, from a wireless tag reader, a radio field intensity of wireless communication with a wireless tag held by the photographic target to estimate a position of the photographic target based on the acquired radio field intensity; a movement control unit that controls the movement of the moving body so that the moving body moves to the estimated position as a destination; and an imaging unit that takes an image of the photographic target when the moving body is located near the destination, associates the photographic image with a wireless tag ID designated by the request, and transmits the photographic image to an apparatus outside the moving body.
