Abstract: Described are various configurations of integrated wavelength lockers including asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometers (AMZIs) and associated detectors. Various embodiments provide improved wavelength-locking accuracy by using an active tuning element in the AMZI to achieve an operational position with high locking sensitivity, a coherent receiver to reduce the frequency-dependence of the locking sensitivity, and/or a temperature sensor and/or strain gauge to computationally correct for the effect of temperature or strain changes.

Abstract: A multispectral sensor array can include a combination of ranging sensor channels (e.g., LIDAR sensor channels) and ambient-light sensor channels tuned to detect ambient light having a channel-specific property (e.g., color). The sensor channels can be arranged and spaced to provide multispectral images of a field of view in which the multispectral images from different sensors are inherently aligned with each other to define an array of multispectral image pixels. Various optical elements can be provided to facilitate imaging operations. Light ranging/imaging systems incorporating multispectral sensor arrays can operate in rotating and/or static modes.

Abstract: A method and device for restoring and reconstructing a light source spectrum based on a hyperspectral image are provided. A hyperspectral image is processed to obtain a first maximum spectrum. The first maximum spectrum is matched with a light source spectral basis vector set in a light source spectrum dictionary, and a linear decomposition is performed to obtain a dictionary set. The maximum value of each waveband is obtained and iterative approximation is performed. Therefore, it can quickly restore the spectrum of the light source of the shooting environment from a single hyperspectral image using a relatively simple calculation process, and can still achieve a good restoration effect for monochromatic image scenes or image scenes with few colors, even close to the real light source spectrum. After the light source spectrum is obtained, this information can be further utilized for different kinds of applications.

Abstract: A spectrometry device wherein light rays emitted from an object face measurement point combine into one parallel light beam by an objective lens, this is divided into a first and second light beam by a phase shifter, and the first and second light beam emit toward a light-receiving face of a photodetector while providing an optical path length difference. A light-shielding plate is arranged on a face optically conjugate the object face respective to the objective lens, and only light passed through translucent portions of the light-shielding plate is directed to the objective lens. A lateral length of each light-shielding plate translucent portion and the interval between two adjacent translucent portions are based on the objective lens focal length, the distance from the phase shifter to the photodetector light-receiving face, a photodetector pixel pitch, a pixel length, and a predetermined wavelength range of the light emitted from the measurement point.

Abstract: An optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan device includes an OCT scan device housing, an interferometer disposed in within the OCT scan device housing and including a light source, a fiber optic coupler including an interferometer output, a reference-arm, and a sample-arm. The OCT scan device further includes a power source configured to provide power to the light source and the remaining components of the OCT scan device, and a controller disposed within the OCT scan device housing and configured to adjust lens focusing parameters in the reference-arm and the sample-arm, and control a scanning function of an optical beam emitting from the sample-arm. The OCT scan device is further configured to transmit and receive control instructions and transmit fundus image data.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a common-path cube-corner retroreflector interferometer with a large optical path difference and high stability, and an interference technique thereof. The interferometer adopts an asymmetric common-path beam splitting structure using right-angled cube-corner retroreflectors, comprising a semi-transmissive and semi-reflective beam splitter, a plane mirror, a first right-angled cube-corner retroreflector, a second right-angled cube-corner retroreflector and an optical path difference element. The incident light is divided into a first transmitted beam and a second reflected beam, which are respectively reflected by the plane mirror and the right-angled cube-corner retroreflectors several times and then split again, two beams of which become interference outputs along directions perpendicular to an incident direction of the incident light, and the other two beams become interference outputs along directions parallel to the incident light. The present disclosure also provides an interference technique based on the interferometer described above.

Abstract: A multi-dispersive spectrometer is provided in which the spectrometer comprises an optical system configured to direct an excitation signal from an excitation light source toward a sample, receive a spectroscopy signal from the sample, and direct the spectroscopy signal toward the detector. The optical system comprises a movable optical component adapted to move the spectroscopy signal relative to at least one sensor of the detector and the detector is adapted to detect a plurality of discrete shifted spectroscopy signals. A method of obtaining a Raman spectrum from a sample is also provided. The method comprises directing an excitation signal from an excitation light source toward a sample; receiving a spectroscopy signal from the sample; and directing the spectroscopy signal toward a detector, wherein the spectroscopy signal is moved relative to at least one sensor of the detector to provide a plurality of discrete shifted spectroscopy signals.
