Abstract:
A bypass valve having an adjustable flow resistance for a device through which a fluid medium flows. The valve includes a seat and a body which is biased closed, and which is movable in the opening direction by a fluid medium pressure difference between the inflow and the outflow side of the valve when the pressure difference exceeds a threshold. A bypass flow path connects the inflow side to the outflow side through the seat. The bypass valve includes a screen disposed in the bypass flow path. The valve body has two different open positions that depend on the fluid medium pressure difference. The entire cross-section of the bypass flow path is covered by the screen in a first valve body open position with a lower pressure difference, and a screen-free bypass flow path cross-section is exposed in a second valve body open position with a greater pressure difference.

Also disclosed is a sealing device (20) for the installation in such a filter system (100) and an arrangement comprising a filter element (10) and a sealing device (20).
Abstract:
A filter device for fluids, especially for fuels such as diesel fuel, includes a filter housing (1) defining a longitudinal axis (19). The filter housing has a fluid inlet (14) and a fluid outlet (24) and can accommodate at least one filter element (9). The fluid can, during filtering, flow through a filter medium (11) surrounding an inner filter cavity. The filter element (9) is enclosed by an end cap (21) on its lower end facing the bottom part (5) of the filter housing (1). The end cap has a passage (29) forming a fluid connection to the inner filter cavity (17) and can be fixed to an element retainer (23) of the filter housing (1). The element retainer (23) includes retaining piece (35) on the bottom part (5) of the filter housing (1). The retaining piece is open towards the filter element (9) with a fluid channel (37) leading to a housing connection (24) running into it. The end cap (21) of the filter element (9) has a connecting piece (27) accommodated in the retaining piece (35) and secured in a supporting zone. The retaining piece (35) forms an opening (43) forming a fluid connection to the fluid channel (37) leading to the element retainer (23) and including a sealing arrangement (45, 47) sealing the opening from the open end of the retaining piece.
Abstract:
A filtration assembly is provided for a liquid flowing in an engine or hydraulic equipment, of the type including a body with a head on top thereof, and a cylindrical member for holding a filtration cartridge containing a filtration medium defined by an upper flange and a lower flange. The upper flange is coupled to the head by a first longitudinal retainer. The cartridge includes a second longitudinal retainer interacting with the body. The first retainer having a longitudinal tensile strength lower than the longitudinal tensile strength of the second retainer.
Abstract:
A filter appliance may include a ring filter element arranged upright in a filter having an upper end disc and a lower end disc. A component may be arranged on the lower end disc and may include at least one of a water collection pot, a projecting nipple-shaped pin and at least one key profile. A function element may be configured to be inserted in a filter housing pot of the filter appliance, the function element including a channel configured to receive the component. A lock profile may be provided on the function element, wherein the lock profile corresponds to the at least one key profile of the lower disk. The filter appliance is may be operational provided the pin engages the channel and the key profile engages in the lock profile.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter element (10) having a first fluid path (12) on a raw side (60) for filtering a first fluid (64) and a second fluid path (14) having a fluid line (16) on a clean side (62) for carrying a second fluid (66). The filter element (10) is provided at least on one side with a first end plate (20). Here, the fluid line (16) is arranged in the central inner region (36) of the filter element (10) and connected with the end plate (20) for joint disassembly, especially securely connected to the filter element. The invention further relates to a filter system (100) including such a filter element (10).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter element (10) having a first fluid path (12) for filtering a first fluid and a second fluid path (14) having a fluid line (16) for carrying a second fluid, wherein a non-return valve (18) is arranged in the second fluid path (14), said non-return valve (18) closing the second fluid path (14) if a flow of the first liquid through the filter element (10) is interrupted. The invention further relates to a filter system (100) including such a filter element (10).
Abstract:
A method and means are described for rapidly evacuating trapped air from the top of a top-loaded liquid filter housing. An air vent means is provided that prevents complete sealing between a bypass valve and a sealing surface on an endcap of a replaceable filter element. The air vent means enables the rapid evacuation of trapped air in the top of the housing chamber, but permits only a negligible flow rate of liquid, for example oil, through the air vent means once air is evacuated due to high viscosity ratio of liquid, such as oil, versus air.
