    Abstract: An elevator system is provided with a remote hall call registering device by use of which an elevator passenger performs a hall call registration in a position at a prescribed distance from a hall. A moving time comparison device compares the predicted moving time Te of the elevator car with the predicted walking time Tw in the case where the floor on which a remote hall call registering device is installed is set as a parking floor. A standby operation go/no go determination device makes a determination as to whether or not to perform a standby operation based on the result of the comparison of the moving time comparison device, and carries out a standby operation after responses to all calls have been finished only in the case where the standby operation go/no go determination device made a determination to the effect that a standby operation should be performed.

    Abstract: An elevator group supervision controlling apparatus has a response time predicting means, a passenger movement estimating means, a standby time predicting means, a candidate car selecting means, an allocating means, and an instructing means. The response time predicting means predicts response time to a car call from a remote call registering apparatus for respective cars. The passenger movement estimating means estimates passenger moving time based on a positional relationship between the remote call registering apparatus and a landing. The standby time predicting means predicts the standby times of each of the cars based on the response time and the passenger moving time. The candidate car selecting means includes cars for which standby time is shorter than a predetermined time interval in candidate cars, and excludes cars for which standby time is greater than or equal to the predetermined time interval from the candidate cars. The allocating means decides an allocated car from among the candidate cars if at least one of the cars has been included in the candidate cars. The instructing means generates an informing instruction to communicate to the remote call registering apparatus reinput requesting information that recommends an input operation at the landing call registering apparatus if all of the cars are excluded from the candidate cars.

    Abstract: A group control selects the cars of an elevator group for boarding passengers such that the passenger arrive at the shaft door of the selected elevator earlier than the selected car whereby unnecessarily long stops are avoided. A memory for the storage of times needed by a passenger for traversing the paths between the respectively actuated call registering and indicating device and the shaft doors of the elevator is provided for each elevator. A route topology data structure is formed using the plurality of movement paths and the durations of the plurality of movement paths, the data structure comprising for a plurality of cells an estimated time to reach an elevator location. An elevator call in a request cell is determined by a requesting mobile node. The time to reach the elevator location is determined using the data structure and information on the request cell, and an elevator car is selected to serve the elevator call based on the time to reach the elevator location, current positions of at least two elevator cars, and current directions of at the least two elevator cars.
