Abstract: A network node, a User Equipment, UE and methods therein, for handling a message transmitted over a radio link. The network node generates a first set of identity check bits for a first part of the message, based on the message and a first check identity, and further generates a second set of identity check bits valid for a second part of the message, based on the message, the first set of identity check bits and a second check identity. The message is then transmitted over the radio link with the first and second sets of identity check bits attached. The UE performs a first verification check using the second set of identity check bits and the second check identity, and performs a second verification check using the first set of identity check bits and the first check identity. The UE then handles the second message part based on the first verification check and the first message part based on the second verification check.

Abstract: A method for encoding streams of video data based on groups of pictures (GOP) used in video coding to define the arrangement order of the images with internal coding and with predictive coding for generating a visible image, including redundancy transmission error correction means for transmissions over a wireless network controlled by a local data communication protocol. The video stream consists of consecutive data packets G, each packet G comprising a first set M containing the video data to be transmitted, and a second set comprising redundancy data obtained by a redundancy algorithm. According to the method, the first data set M is composed of all the data of at least one group of pictures (GOP).

Abstract: A system for enabling signal penetration into a building includes first circuitry, located on an outside of the building, that receives millimeter wave signals and converting the millimeter wave signals into a format that penetrates into an interior of a building for reception by wireless devices within the building. Second circuitry, located on an inside of the building and communicatively linked with the first circuitry, receives the millimeter wave signals in the format that penetrates into an interior of the building and converts the millimeter wave signals in the format to a second format for transmission to the wireless devices within the building.

Abstract: The outage probability in an under-addressed optical MIMO system may be reduced by configuring a spatial-mode coupler at a transmitter and/or a spatial-mode separator at a receiver to dynamically change its spatial-mode configuration on a time scale that is shorter than the channel coherence time. Provided that the MIMO system employs an FEC code that has a sufficient error-correcting capacity for correcting the amount of errors corresponding to an average state of the MIMO channel established between the transmitter and receiver, this relatively fast dynamic change tends to reduce the frequency of events during which the number of errors per FEC-encoded block of data exceeds the error-correcting capacity of the FEC code.
