Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for a touchless testing platform employed to, for example, create automated testing scripts, sequence test cases, and implement determine defect solutions. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving a log file that includes log records generated from a code base; processing the log file through a pattern mining algorithm to determine a usage pattern; generating a graphical representation based on an analysis of the usage pattern; processing the graphical representation through a machine learning algorithm to select a set of test cases from a plurality of test cases for the code base and to assign a priority value to each of the selected test cases; sequencing the set of test cases based on the priority values; and transmitting the sequenced set of test cases to a test execution engine.

Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods to display an additional message information relevant to a product are described herein. Initially a determination is made whether error message, corresponding to a data processing error related to a product, has a corresponding additional message information related to the product. Next, based on the determined additional message information, an additional message information property of the error message is updated to indicate that the error message has the corresponding additional information. Next, based on the updated additional message information property, the additional message information is converted to obtain a converted additional message information in a markup language. Finally the converted additional message information is forwarded to a user interface, where it is displayed.

Abstract: A method for generating an energy usage profile for a software program executed in a computing device includes generating a call trace of an executed system call, identifying a first power consumption and duration of a first power state due to the first system call using a model, identifying a second power consumption and duration of a second power state based on the model, and generating an energy usage profile for the software program. The energy usage profile includes energy consumption of the computing device for the system call based on the first power consumption level multiplied by the first duration and the second power consumption level multiplied by the second duration associated an identifier for the call trace.

Abstract: A combination of hardware and software collect profile data for asynchronous events, at code region granularity. An exemplary embodiment is directed to collecting metrics for prefetching events, which are asynchronous in nature. Instructions that belong to a code region are identified using one of several alternative techniques, causing a profile bit to be set for the instruction, as a marker. Each line of a data block that is prefetched is similarly marked. Events corresponding to the profile data being collected and resulting from instructions within the code region are then identified. Each time that one of the different types of events is identified, a corresponding counter is incremented. Following execution of the instructions within the code region, the profile data accumulated in the counters are collected, and the counters are reset for use with a new code region.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention rely on simple time measurements to extract rich performance analysis from a graphics program. The invention times the program as it repeatedly executes on a selected platform, while a series of variations are applied to the program with each execution. As a result, without requiring any specific profiling tools for the platform, a developer can analyze and understand the performance characteristics of the program based upon these elapsed time measurements. The program can then be optimized to incorporate variations that improve execution time.
