Abstract:
Upon occurrence of memory overflow, a POP3 protocol process section interrupts email reception by POP3 and stores a page count number at the interruption in the data memory area as the interrupted page number. After that, POP3 protocol process section starts reception of the remainder of the interrupted email data connecting to POP3 server. Comparing the receiving page number and the interrupted page number, the POP3 protocol section identifies the data as the data corresponding to the pages received if the former number is smaller than the latter number. If the data corresponds to the pages received, the data is deleted from the reception buffer without any processing. On the other hand, if the data corresponds to non-received pages, then the data is received and printed out after decoding.
Abstract:
A data processor can includes a memory connection portion communicably connected to a removable memory, a connection portion communicably connected to a memorizing portion, an acquiring portion capable of acquiring data, a storing portion capable of storing the data acquired by the acquiring portion in the memorizing portion, and a writing portion capable of writing storage location information of the data stored by the storing portion in the memory.
Abstract:
A facsimile device includes a communication module for communicating with a web server connected to the Internet. A web printing unit of the communication module receives data from the web server, and adds accumulated data information indicating a saving position of the received data to a corresponding data file if the received data conforms to predetermined sorting conditions. When the amount of received data for which the accumulated data information has been stored in the data file exceeds one page worth, then n-pages worth of received data is converted into print data and recorded in a print FIFO.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus connectable to an external device includes a recording instruction module which instructs a recording, an imaging module which generates an image signal from an optical image, a memory module which stores the image signal generated by the imaging module, a connecting module which enables connection of the imaging apparatus to the external device, and a control module which controls wiring into the memory module and effects control of an operation of the recording instruction module or an operation responsive thereto.
Abstract:
An electronic camera has an image data memory for storing image data and a communication mode for transferring the stored image data to one or more different cameras. The camera includes a controller that, prior to image data transmission, receives remaining capacity data of the image data memory in a receiver side camera and displays an image number corresponding to the remaining capacity of the receiver side camera. When plural receiver side cameras are available, the controller, prior to image data transmission, receives the remaining capacity data of the image data memory in the plurality of receiver side cameras and displays a number of sendable images corresponding to the remaining capacity for each of the plurality of receiver side cameras.
Abstract:
An apparatus is configured to allow a user to make a selection as to whether printing of print data is performed according to print setting is specified to be unchangeable, or according to restriction information indicating restriction in printing instructed by the user.
Abstract:
In order to efficiently store data that is to be transmitted or received, an image-processing system is provided with a plurality of MFPs and has: a designation unit to designate an arbitrary destination user as a receiver of data; a specifying unit to specify an MFP among the plurality of MFPs, the destination user designated by the designation unit belonging to the specified MFP; and a control unit to control switching between a first mode and a second mode in accordance with a predetermined condition, the first mode being for storing the data in a predetermined storing device on the network so as to enable reading of the data by an operation by the destination user designated by the designation unit, the second mode being for, instead of storing the data in the predetermined storing device, transmitting the data to the MFP specified by the specifying unit, the destination user belonging to the specified image-processing apparatus.
Abstract:
In order to promote reception of transmitted data, an image-processing apparatus is connected to a plurality of image-processing apparatuses through a network and has a designation unit to receive a designation of an arbitrary destination user as a receiver of data; a storing unit to store the data in a storing device so as to enable reading of the data by an operation by the destination user designated by the designation unit; and a control unit to execute a predetermined action with respect to the destination user designated by the designation unit when no reading operation for the data is executed by the destination user after a predetermined elapse of time from storing the data in the storing device.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus is provided with a receiver that receives facsimile data, a storage unit including a data memory region that stores therein the facsimile data, a printing unit that prints an image based on the facsimile data, and a printing controller that controls the printing unit, during receipt of the facsimile data, to alternately operate in a standby mode in which a printing action is suspended and allowing the facsimile data corresponding to a plurality of pages to be stored in the storage unit, and in a continuous mode in which the facsimile data corresponding to the plurality of pages stored in the storage unit is continuously printed out by the printing unit.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus, including: a file memory to store data; a file controller to access the file memory; a first control section to manage the file memory via the file controller; and a second control section connected with the file controller; wherein the file controller includes an usage information management section to manage information representing un-use condition in each divided region of the file memory, and wherein the information processing apparatus further includes a data storing control section to store data in the file memory from the second control section via the file controller by referring the information when the first control section is in un-operative condition.
