The prepared print image data is transmitted from the digital camera 100 to a color printer of an output unit. An image is printed at the color printer in accordance with the print image data.

The present invention provides an image outputting apparatus and a control method thereof, accommodated to a contradictory need of security improvement and TCO reduction in a rational manner. An embodiment of the present invention performs a setting of a black-and-white copy output by receiving an instruction from a user to output a black-and-white copy of a read document. Then, an LVBC extraction part and an LVBC color determining part determine whether the read document includes a color LVBC. An image-output controlling part outputs a color output of the read document when the read document has been determined to include color coded information, despite the setting of a black-and-white copy output.

According to one embodiment, a color facsimile apparatus includes a printer portion that performs color print and monochrome print of a received image of a color facsimile signal transmitted from a certain outgoing listed number, an outgoing detecting portion that receives the facsimile signal to detect the outgoing listed number, an image determination portion that determines whether the received image of the facsimile signal is a color image or a monochrome image, and a color print control portion that compares the outgoing listed number to listed numbers on a previously stored white list to restrict the color print of the received image when the outgoing listed number does not exist in the listed numbers on the white list.

An extension module is generated to act on behalf of a TWAIN application by communicating with a WIA driver via WIA Service. A data structure is transmitted from the extension module to the WIA driver via a custom properties mechanism of WIA Service. The data structure contains a location of a binary data file containing instruction data for the scanner. The binary data file is located with the WIA driver according to the location. The instruction data is transmitted to the scanner, which processes the instruction data and transmits results back to the WIA driver. The WIA driver writes the results into a new binary data file. The data structure is updated and transmitted to the extension module via the custom properties mechanism, and the new binary data file is located. The obtained information is processed by the extension module on behalf of the TWAIN application.

Print data is input from the exterior, and objects included in the print data are rendered to generate image data for print. Image data indicating a picture attribute is extracted from the rendered image data for print. The extracted image data is segmented into region.
