Abstract: A housing assembly, portable filter system using the housing assembly and methods of mounting a filter element in a housing assembly are provided. The housing assembly is usable with filter elements of different types. The housing assembly includes a housing body having an open end and being attached to a filter head. The filter head includes a first housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate with a filter element of the first type and a second housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate with a filter element of the second type. A cover member removably attaches to the housing body and includes a third housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate the filter element of the second.

Abstract: A filter plate subframe for a filter plate frame assembly having a filter plate frame and a filter plate subframe slidably receivable therein. The subframe comprises separate periphery segments attached to each other so as to form a continuous, generally rectangular periphery region with flank sides and end sides. The flank sides have a linear density lower than that of the end sides, and the end sides have a bending stiffness higher than that of the end flank, while either or both of the first end side and the second end side are provided with a reinforcement bar for increasing the bending stiffness said end sides. Abstract: A water purifier structure includes a container assembly and a buffer unit mounted in the container assembly. The container assembly includes a housing and a cap unit. The housing has a first receiving section and a second receiving section. The second receiving section of the housing is provided with a retaining portion. The buffer unit is mounted in the second receiving section of the housing and includes a positioning ring secured in the retaining portion of the housing, and a cushioning member mounted in the positioning ring. The cushioning member is elastically movable in the positioning ring. When the cushioning member is compressed by a force, the cushioning member is contracted and elastically deformed toward the second receiving section of the housing, to form a buffering force.

Abstract: An oil filter element has first and second end disks between which an annular filter medium is held. The oil to be filtered flows through the filter medium in a direction radial to the longitudinal axis of the oil filter element. Abstract: A filter system having a filter media retainer seal includes: at least one underdrain block having a top wall, a bottom wall, and a pair of side walls extending between the top wall and the bottom wall; a filter media retainer mounted onto the top wall of the at least one underdrain block; and at least one rib positioned between the underdrain block and the filter media retainer. The at least one rib forms a seal between the underdrain block and the filter media retainer, and prevents filter media from entering the underdrain block. The at least one rib can be monolithically formed to the at least one underdrain block. Alternatively, the at least one rib is monolithically formed to the filter media retainer. The rib is crushable and/or it bites into a surface on the adjoining part to reduce or eliminate the need for a separate sealant.
