Abstract: An automated sprayer diagnostic system includes at least one sensor directed toward at least one nozzle assembly of a sprayer implement. A sprayer diagnostic controller is in communication with the at least one sensor. The sprayer diagnostic controller includes a performance deviation comparator configured to compare the sensed actual performance profile of the at least one nozzle assembly with a specified performance profile and determine one or more performance deviations from the comparison. A performance issue diagnostic module is configured to identify at least one performance issued based on the one or more performance deviations. A diagnostic indication module is configured to provide a diagnostic indication of the identified at least one performance issue.

Abstract: The disclosure herein concerns a method including receiving at a computer at least one target value of a scent parameter for an environment that is remote from the computer, receiving at the computer a sensed parameter of the environment, and controlling, via the computer, diffusion of a liquid from a source of the liquid in fluid communication with at least one scent diffusion device to achieve the target value of the scent parameter, wherein controlling includes setting or adjusting an operation parameter of the at least one scent diffusion device in response to the sensed parameter.

Abstract: Various embodiments concern a sprayer having a blower that outputs a HVLP flow of air into a hose, the hose connecting with a spray gun. A pressure sensor measures pressure of the HVLP air within the hose via a tube that branches from a fitting to which the hose connects. If the sensor indicates that the pressure level has increased above a threshold amount, indicating that the trigger of the spray gun is not being actuated, then power output to the blower is reduced (e.g., stopped). HVLP air is trapped within the hose by two valves when the trigger is not actuated. When the sensor indicates that the pressure level has decreased, corresponding to release of the trapped HVLP air into the gun for spraying by actuation of the trigger, power to the blower is increased (e.g., resumed).

Abstract: A method for coating objects starts with dispensing, by means of a first painting system, a first coating layer on a first object. A property of the first coating layer is measured to thereby obtain a first property value, and a coating variable of a second painting system is adjusted based on the first property value. A second coating layer is dispensed on the first coating layer by means of the second painting system which is different from the first painting system. By providing a measurement between the two painting systems, and by adjusting the coating parameters of the downstream painting system based on the measurement results, the overall coating can be corrected by compensating by means of the downstream painting system for a defective coating dispensed by the upstream painting system.
