Abstract: Coating compositions for coating an oilfield operational component, and related methods, may include in some aspects a coating composition having a trifunctional silane, a silanol, and a filler. The coating composition may be applied to a surface of the oilfield operational component that is configured to be exposed to a fluid. The coating composition may be applied to at least partially cover or coat the surface. The coating composition may be configured to chemically bond with a cured primer composition that includes an epoxy.

Abstract: A water-based hydrogel polymer coating and a method of application to natural rubber or other elastomeric latex products are provided. The water-based hydrogel polymer is mixed with a blend of at least one elastomeric material to provide a hydrogel polymer blend composition. The water-based hydrogel polymer blend composition is applied in a single application to an elastomeric article, such as gloves, without additional solvents in the polymer blend composition and without a separate acid or chemical priming step. The water-based hydrogel coating herein provides increased lubricity to facilitate improved wet and dry donning of the elastomeric article.

Abstract: Provided is a method for producing a silica aerogel blanket and an apparatus for producing the same, which are capable of easily controlling the physical properties of a silica aerogel blanket by separately injecting silica sol and a gelation catalyst to control gelation time, improving aerogel pore structure to be uniform and improving thermal insulation performance by sufficiently and uniformly impregnating the silica sol and the gelation catalyst into a blanket, reducing the loss of silica sol and gelation catalyst by allowing the silica sol and the gelation catalyst to pass on an ascending slope before gelation to remove any excessive silica sol and gelation catalyst exceeding an appropriate impregnation amount, and providing a silica aerogel blanket having less process trouble, and less dust.

Abstract: A coating system includes a plurality of liquid immersion workstations positioned along an arcuate path, the plurality of liquid immersion workstations defining a single complete coating process for a sequence of objects. A plurality of curing workstations are configured to independently receive objects of the sequence of objects exiting the plurality of liquid immersion workstations. An articulated robotic arm has a base positioned inside the arcuate path in top plan view such that the robotic arm is operable to carry each object of the sequence of objects through each of the plurality of liquid immersion workstations and to exactly one of the plurality of curing workstations. An articulated robotic hand is provided at a distal end of the robotic arm and configured to grasp and hold each of the objects and to oscillate the object while submerged in each of the plurality of liquid immersion workstations.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a surface treatment composition comprising, on the basis of 100 wt % of the solid part of the composition, 20-40 wt % of a water-soluble polyurethane resin, 40-60 wt % of a silane-based sol-gel resin in which three types of silane compounds are cross-linked, 5-15 wt % of a curing agent, 0.5-1.5 wt % of a corrosion inhibitor, 0.1-1.0 wt % of a molybdenum-based compound, 1.0-3.0 wt % of a silane coupling agent; 1.0-2.0 wt % of an organometallic complex, 1.0-2.0 wt % of an acid scavenger, 0.1-1.0 wt % of an aluminum-based compound, and 1.0-2.0 wt % of a lubricant. A ternary hot-dip galvannealed steel sheet treated with a chromium-free surface treatment coating agent, according to an exemplary embodiment in the present invention, has excellent resistance to blackening, alkali and corrosion, and provides excellent effects without concern for problems, in chromium treatment, of additional equipment installation, an increase in manufacturing costs and environmental pollution.
