Abstract: A method of measuring a gas turbine engine component of a gas turbine engine according to an example of the present disclosure includes, among other things, providing at least one gas turbine engine component including a coating on a substrate, detecting infrared radiation emitted from at least one localized region of the coating at a first wavelength in a first electromagnetic radiation frequency range, detecting infrared radiation emitted from the substrate corresponding to the at least one localized region at a second, different wavelength in a second electromagnetic radiation frequency range that differs from the first electromagnetic radiation frequency range, and determining a heat flux relating to the at least one localized region based upon a comparison of the first wavelength and the second wavelength.

Abstract: An infrared temperature sensor comprises a first communication port and a second communication port. A plurality of infrared temperature sensors can be cascaded to each other and connected to an external host controller through the second communication port. The external host controller can set up and administer the unique addresses of the plurality of the infrared temperature sensors through the second communication port, whereby to selectively perform multicasting communication or unicasting communication with the plurality of infrared temperature sensors through the first communication port. The infrared temperature sensor further comprises a second thermopile sensing element used to sense the thermal radiation of a package structure, whereby to compensate for the measurement error induced by temperature variation of the package structure. Thus, the measurement accuracy is increased.

Abstract: A temperature measurement method and a measurement device are provided. The temperature measurement method includes capturing, by a temperature measurement device, a first sampling temperature of a first measurement position surface of a subject body and a second sampling temperature of a second measurement position surface of the subject body, the first measurement position surface and the second measurement position surface are where body surfaces of the subject have different thermal dissipation rates when in contact with the air; computing an original measured temperature according to the first sampling temperature; computing a compensated temperature, the compensated temperature including a temperature difference compensation value that is computed according to a difference between the first sampling temperature and the second sampling temperature; and correcting the original measured temperature according to the compensated temperature to obtain the measured temperature.

A display is provided to display the temperature of the subject.

Abstract: A thermal sensing and identity authentication system is provided. The system may be used for screening of persons entering a venue or other location. The system may include a mobile device, a mobile application, a backend platform, an image/facial recognition system, a thermal imaging system, a standalone temperature sensing device, and other elements. The system may scan one or more persons (e.g., a crowd of persons) to identify targets (e.g., persons' foreheads) for measurement, and subsequently take thermal imaging measurements of the targets to determine any persons who may have an elevated body temperature. The system may also enable individuals to take their own body temperature measurements, either using the thermal imaging system and/or the temperature sensing device, offsite so that they may not be required to go through onsite screening. In this case, the system may authenticate the person's identity, take his/her body temperature readings, and communicate this information to the venue. Then, upon arrival the venue, the venue may use this information to grant (or deny) the person access.
