Abstract:
A therapeutic device includes a power unit for cyclically moving a therapeutic head unit at a frequency selected to cause compression wave energy to propagate through body tissue to a target scar tissue structure. The therapeutic head unit includes a plurality of differently shaped therapeutic heads to be pressed against the body surface.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a portable device for enhancing circulation in a limb comprising at least one strap for encircling the limb, a motor and a mechanism driven by said motor for intermittently actuating a first transition from a relaxed state to a strained state of the strap and a second transition from the strained state to the relaxed state. The mechanism includes at least one energy storing element operatively disposed between the motor and the strap and at least one energy releasing mechanism coupling between the energy storing element and the strap. The energy releasing mechanism enables fast release of energy stored in said storing element and the use of the energy so released to effectuate at least one abrupt transition between said relaxed and strained states.
Abstract:
A phallic device for sexual stimulation generally includes a housing and at least one end cap attached to the housing. The end cap includes a data access device for accessing audio data from a data device. The end cap further includes a sound emitter for emitting audio corresponding to the audio data accessed by the data access device from the data device.
Abstract:
A sleeve for use with a circulation enhancement device, including a first layer that is adapted to substantially encircle a user's limb, a second layer that is adapted to interface the circulation enhancement device, a connection between the first layer and the second layer at a preset position; and wherein the second layer is adapted to be attached to various position along the circumference of the first layer and at least partially encircle the first layer.
Abstract:
A therapeutic vibrator includes a vibrating unit, a spherical roller ball adapted to be vibrated by the action of a driving source disposed within the vibrating unit, a roller ball retention cup which houses the roller ball as the diameter of the roller ball is slightly larger than the opening of the retention cup. The roller ball is captured within yet protrudes from the retention cup providing a vibrating, omni-directionally moveable rolling ball surface for applying a therapeutic affect to body parts.
Abstract:
An air blower including a flow-thru motor and fan unit encapsulated in resilient foam rubber layer within a substantially cylindrical plastic casing is provided which operates very quietly, delivers a sufficient quantity of warm pressurized air and filters the air which flows therethrough. The air blower is eloquently simple in design and relatively inexpensive to manufacture. The air blower incorporates a number of safety features including an outlet structure which prevents the introduction of water into the interior of the blower and a ground fault circuit interrupter. The air which flows through the blower is channeled through the motor to cool the motor and at the same time heat the air flowing through the blower. The resilient foam encapsulation separates the noise and vibration of the motor and fan unit from the casing. The casing includes a plurality of radial air inlets in its base and an air outlet in the side of the casing adjacent its upper end. Consequently, the foam encapsulation above and below the motor and fan unit serve to filter the air passing from the air inlets to the air outlet and reduce the noise which emanates from the outlet and inlets.
Abstract:
The invention provides an improved vibrating device or electromassager including a vibrating plate rocking corresponding to rotation of a crank shaft interlocking with a motor, and a counter weight for compensating for reaction against rocking of the vibrating plate. In the vibrating device thus constructed, the center of gravity of the vibrating plate and that of the counter weight are disposed on the same plane perpendicular to the crank shaft. Accordingly no foce is applied to shake the vibrating plate in the direction of the crank shaft. The vibrating plate is thus rocked stably and noiselessly without making the body of the vibrating device bounce.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an air injection bath for a therapeutic use, the bath comprising a tub having in its base air injection nozzles supplied by a turbine, heating and ozonizing devices being disposed in a box outside the safety perimeter of the bath, the box having an electric and electronic control system receiving air pulses from a mobile control grip or from a stationary control panel disposed near the user for controlling various operations for air injection, heating of the injected air, ozone injection, the direction and speed of air injection into the bath and the starting and stopping of the complete facility.
Abstract:
A pool mountable hydrotherapy jet producing device which embodies an adjustable dial for air and water mixing providing full control of a plurality of jets of water from an off condition through a range of from gentle to forceful stimulating hydro-massage jet effects.
