Abstract:
A circuit-constituting unit forming a distribution circuit or the like in a vehicle. The circuit-constituting unit includes a plurality of bus bars for constituting a power circuit; a semiconductor switching device provided in the power circuit; and a control circuit board. The bus bars are bonded to a surface of the control circuit board such that the bus bars are arranged to be generally coplanar with each other. The semiconductor switching device is mounted on both of the corresponding bus bars and the control circuit board. An opening may be formed through the control circuit board. In this case, one of terminals of the semiconductor switching device may be connected to a surface of the control circuit board facing away from the surface to which the bus bars are bonded. The other terminals may be connected respectively to the bus bar through the opening.
Abstract:
A semiconductor module has a semiconductor device, a wiring substrate, an external terminal, and a conductor. The semiconductor device includes a main electrode through which a main electric current flows. The wiring substrate includes a base plate and a main wiring pattern provided on a surface of the base plate. The main electrode of the semiconductor device is in electrical contact with the main wiring pattern. The external terminal is provided for electrically connecting an external of the wiring substrate with the main wiring pattern. The conductor extends longitudinally along a main electric current path, through which the main electric current of the semiconductor device flows, from the external terminal, or a portion adjacent to the external terminal, to the main electrode or a portion adjacent to the main electrode, while being in electrical contact with the main wiring pattern.
Abstract:
An electrical junction box for a vehicle has a casing, and an electrical circuit comprising a fuse connection circuit, a relay connection circuit and a connector connection circuit. The casing has, at opposite sides, connector sockets for electrical connectors. In the casing is a connector module comprising a plurality of insulation substrates stacked one on another and parallel elongated bus bars on a first surface of each substrate and parallel flexible conductors on a second surface of the substrate, which extend orthogonally to said bus bars. Each said insulation substrate has apertures through it at which the bus bars and flexible conductors are connected to each other to provide desired circuit connections. The bus bars extend from the insulation substrates and provide tabs projecting into the connector sockets. A thin junction box is obtained.
Abstract:
A power distribution assembly for distributing a high current electrical input to a plurality of individual and varied current outputs. A lower housing has a plurality of integrally formed socket receptacle defined therein, a corresponding and assembleable upper housing including a plurality of receptacles and establishing an enclosed interior. First and second busbars each include a planar base portion and a plurality of extending terminal pin portions communicable with the receptacle portions of said upper housing. The planar base portions being arranged on opposite faces of a planar shaped and flexible circuit sheet and fastenably engaging, in sandwiching and electrically communicating fashion, to the opposite faces of the circuit sheet. Individual pluralities of first, second and third terminal output pins electrically communicate with the circuit sheet and access selected locations through the upper and lower housings so that, upon the high input current being routed through the busbars and the circuit sheet, the terminal output pins communicate an associated and stepped down output current to specified receptacles.
Abstract:
A circuit board has an insulation board and strip bus bars arranged on the opposite faces of the board. On one face, the bus bars extend in parallel in a first direction. On the second face, the bus bars extend in parallel in a second direction crossing the bars extending in said first direction, so that there is an array of crossing points of the bus bars. The insulation board has holes at which the mutually crossing bus bars are bent towards each other and joined to establish electrical connection. In this way, a predetermined wiring pattern is obtained, which can be varied easily.

Abstract:
A low inductance power connector for reducing inductance in an electrical conductor is provided. An interface connector connects circuit boards together while reducing inductance and increasing current carrying capacity. The connector for connecting circuit boards comprises a first contact having a body, a first mating portion and a second mating portion, and a second contact having a body, a third mating portion and a fourth mating portion. The first and second mating portions are substantially parallel and disposed on opposite sides of the body of the first contact, and the third and fourth mating portions are substantially parallel and disposed on opposite sides of the body of the second contact.
Abstract:
An electrical connection box is provided for a vehicle which has a low-voltage battery of maximum output voltage selected from 14V and 28V, and a high-voltage battery of output voltage higher than that of said first battery structure. The electrical connection box has an insulation plate and, fixed on one face of said insulation plate, first bus bars connected in use to the first battery and second bus bars connected in use to the second battery so that the first and second bus bars are at different potentials. In order to reduce a risk of electrical leakage paths on the insulation plate, at least one of the following features is present: (i) the first bus bars and the second bus bars are separated on the face of the insulation plate by an air insulation zone of width in the range of from about 1 mm to about 30 mm, (ii) an insulation wall stands up on the insulation plate between the first bus bars and the second bus bars, (iii) the second bus bars are embedded in the insulating material.
