A pneumatic system includes a fluidic switching module, an air connection inlet configured for connection to a source of pressurized air, a plurality of air connection outlets each in fluid communication with the air connection inlet, a first cascading subsystem downstream from and in fluid communication with the air connection inlet and configured to receive a pressurized airflow from the air connection inlet, a second cascading subsystem downstream from and in fluid communication with the first cascading subsystem, and a third cascading subsystem downstream from and in fluid communication with the first cascading subsystem. The fluidic switching module is configured to cyclically and sequentially direct the pressurized airflow between the plurality of air connection outlets without any moving parts or external controls.
Abstract:
The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of rehabilitation medical devices, and in particular relates to a pose-adjustable rigid-flexible coupled waist rehabilitation robot. The robot comprises a fixed platform, a movable platform connected to the fixed platform, a lumbar vertebra support assembly mounted on the movable platform, and two support airbags symmetrically arranged at both sides of the lumbar vertebra support assembly. The lumbar vertebra support assembly comprises a plurality of bellow air bags arranged in parallel. By controlling the pressure in a plurality of bellow air bags arranged in parallel, the lumbar vertebra support assembly at the lumbar vertebra position can be adjusted to different curvatures to adapt to different patients, such that the lumbar vertebra support assembly can support the lumbar vertebra part of the patient in a perfectly fitting manner to guarantee the comfort in the rehabilitation training process.

Apparatuses and methods for snore disrupting and prevention are disclosed. One apparatus includes: an inflatable bladder assembly configured to inflate and deflate to move a head of a user; a conduit connected to the bladder assembly and configured to extend at a distance from the bladder assembly; an air inflator connected to the conduit for inflating the bladder assembly through the conduit, the air inflator being at the distance from the bladder assembly when in use to minimize noise, radiation or discomfort for the user a controller in communication with the air inflator to actuate the air inflator to inflate the bladder assembly; and an audio processor in communication with the controller, the audio processor being configured to detect sound waves and transmit control commands to the controller to trigger cyclical actuation of the air inflator upon a trigger event.

The present invention provides a practical method for treating atopic dermatitis. By subjecting patients suffering from atopic dermatitis to filtered temperature controlled laminar air flow disease symptoms have been significantly reduced and even removed. The velocity of the laminar air flow is balanced such that body convections are braked without the generation of draught.
