Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid comprising methane and a tracer, and to a slush of liquid and solids comprising methane and a tracer. The invention especially relates to LNG comprising a tracer. The LNG may comprise, in addition to the tracer, an odorant and a carrier for the odorant. The odorant is ethyl acrylate and/or ethyl mercaptan. The carrier for the odorant is propane, n-butane, iso-butane, or a mixture of two or more thereof. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing such a liquid or slush by liquefying a gas comprising methane and a tracer. The invention also relates to a process in which a tracer is added to a methane comprising liquid or slush.

Abstract: A composition comprising a fuel and at least one compound characterized by Formula I: wherein X is carbon, oxygen, or sulfur; R1 and R2 each independently are hydrogen, a C1 to C20 alkyl, or a C6 to C10 aryl; R3 and R3′ each independently are hydrogen or a C1 to C4 alkyl; R4 and R4′ each independently are hydrogen, a C1 to C4 alkyl, a C4 to C10 cycloalkyl, or a C6 to C10 aryl; R5 and R5′ each independently are a C4 to C10 alkyl; R6 and R6′ each independently are hydrogen or a C1 to C6 alkyl; and R7 and R7′ each independently are hydrogen or a C1 to C4 alkyl; and wherein the compound of Formula I when subjected to GC-MS using electron ionization at greater than about 70 eV produces at least one ion having a mass-to-charge ratio of from 300 to 600.

Abstract: A synergistic mixture comprising from 1 to 99.9% by weight of compounds having structural elements (I) in which the free valencies on the oxygen atom and on the nitrogen atom may be combined to form a five-, six- or seven-membered ring and the benzene ring may also bear substituents at one or more of the free positions, and from 0.1 to 99% by weight of sulfur-containing organic compounds with antioxidant action. This synergistic mixture is suitable as a stabilizer for stabilizing inanimate organic material, especially mineral oil products and fuels, against the action of light, oxygen and heat.
