Abstract: The present invention relates to novel quaternized ammonium salts of hydrocarbyl epoxides, to the preparation thereof and to the use thereof as a fuel additive and lubricant additive, such as, more particularly, as a detergent additive; for reducing or preventing deposits in the injection systems of direct injection diesel engines, especially in common rail injection systems, for reducing the fuel consumption of direct injection diesel engines, especially of diesel engines with common rail injection systems, and for minimizing power loss in direct injection diesel engines, especially in diesel engines with common rail injection systems; and as an additive for gasoline fuels, especially for operation of DISI engines.

Abstract: An additive formulation suitable for antistatic modification and improving the electrical conductivity of inanimate organic material, consisting essentially of (A) from 1 to 50% by weight of an olefin-sulfur dioxide copolymer, (B) from 1 to 50% by weight of a compound which comprises one or more basic nitrogen atoms and has at least one relatively long-chain linear or branched hydrocarbon radical having at least four carbon atoms or an equivalent structural element which ensures the solubility of component (B) in the inanimate organic material, (C) from 0.1 to 30% by weight of an oil-soluble acid and (D) from 1 to 80% by weight of a high-boiling organic solvent which consists of one or more molecule types, where at least 80% by weight of these molecule types have a boiling point of more than 150° C. at standard pressure, where the sum of all components adds up to 100% by weight.

Abstract: A synergistic mixture comprising from 1 to 99.9% by weight of compounds having structural elements (I) in which the free valencies on the oxygen atom and on the nitrogen atom may be combined to form a five-, six- or seven-membered ring and the benzene ring may also bear substituents at one or more of the free positions, and from 0.1 to 99% by weight of sulfur-containing organic compounds with antioxidant action. This synergistic mixture is suitable as a stabilizer for stabilizing inanimate organic material, especially mineral oil products and fuels, against the action of light, oxygen and heat.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a composite material composed of a) at least one oxidic phase and b) an organic polymer phase. The copolymerization of at least one compound of the formula I [(ArO)mMOnRrHp]q (I) in which M is B, Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge, Sn, P, As or Sb, Ar is phenyl or naphthyl, R is alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, where aryl is unsubstituted or may have one or more substituents, with formaldehyde or formaldehyde equivalents, in a reaction medium which is essentially anhydrous, to obtain a composite material having an arrangement of phase domains similar to those nanocomposite materials obtainable by twin polymerization, and to the use of the composite material for production of gas storage materials, rubber mixtures, low-K dielectrics and electrode materials for lithium ion batteries.
