Abstract:
A leg stretching device includes a base frame, a support plate adjustably coupled to the base frame, a leg tube including a proximal end hingedly connected to the base frame and a distal end, a foot plate disposed at the distal end of the leg tube, and an actuation assembly including an actuation tube hingedly connected to the base frame and an actuation bar slidably disposed within the actuation tube and hingedly connected to the leg tube. The actuation assembly includes an actuator motor for moving the actuation bar relative to the actuation tube to reposition the leg tube relative to the base frame.
Abstract:
Described is an exercise tool. More particularly, it is a therapy and exercise tool specifically devised as a foot-therapy and toe-aligning device to align, separate, and stretch toes. The foot-therapy and toe-aligning device comprises a frame with a plurality of posts connected with the frame. The device is formed of an elastic material such that a user may place at least one of the plurality of posts between a user's toes and pull the post to stretch and elongate the post between the toes. Upon release, the elastic material of the post causes the post to attempt to return to its original shape, thereby causing it to expand out and conform its shape to fit snugly against the user's toes. Additionally, the elastic material allows the toe posts to be positioned and maintained at numerous locations between the user's toes for customizable positioning between the toes.
Abstract:
A portable, flexible, versatile athletic massage device with improved adjustable therapeutic massage is described. It is comprised of one or more vibrating units embedded in a pliant wrap-around material. The wrap may be optionally pneumatically inflated, deflated, heated, cooled to adjust comfort level and snugness of the device. The vibrating head(s) provide pulsating massage that is manually or programmatically adjustable. The wrap may additionally contain one or many electro-stimulation devices/electrodes for providing localized muscle stimulation. These device is controlled using electronic controller(s) powered by electrical, battery or known power sources. The controller is operated manually or through preset programs, remote controls and/or through voice control. The wrap provides comfortable intimate contact with the body facilitating better relief of the injury/pain. Individual customization of massage of the target area is possible through user variable power supply and user variable placement of vibrating heads and electro-stimulators in the wrap.
Abstract:
A compression system for promoting circulation including a wearable compression device having an outer shell sized and shaped to receive a user's limb. The outer shell includes an exterior surface, an opposing interior surface, a first inflation zone disposed on the interior surface, and a second inflation zone disposed on the interior surface and fluidly coupled to the first inflation zone. The compression system also includes an air tube configured to fluidly couple the first inflation zone to the second inflation zone and a compressor coupled to the compression device and the air tube. The compressor is operable to selectively inflate and deflate the first and second inflation zones in a non-sequential manner to apply pressure to at least a portion of a user's limb.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a support for a body part including a compression device in combination with a lower leg protection system. The compression device can be integral with the outer support at a position received over the lower leg. One or more valves can extend from a compression bladder for attachment to a pneumatic device. Inflation of the compression bladder positioner adjacent the lower leg also displaces air in the outer support toward the foot which causes simultaneous massaging of the foot. The pneumatic device can be adjusted to provide either sequential or intermittent therapies. The outer support can include a rigid outer shell for providing support.
Abstract:
A massage therapy device having a roller and detachable thermal cover is disclosed. The roller has a series of unique ridges that optimize the application of therapeutic pressure to portions of a user's body. The thermal cover contains thermal retention material that can be heated or cooled. When the thermal cover is detachably connected to the roller, thermal therapy can be applied to muscle and other tissue in conjunction with the pressure therapy applied with the ridges of the roller. The configuration, temperature, and pressure application angle of the device can be varied to maximize the versatility of the device and provide individualized treatment.
Abstract:
A massage tool includes a main body; and an active member coupled to the main body. The active member includes an active material capable of being heated for transferring heat to the main body so as to activate or reactivate the massage tool. If necessary, more than one active material may be included in the active member. Heat can be transferred from the active material to the main body by way of conduction of the active material or convection of an active vapor released from the active material. The active vapor, for example, can be steam for providing heat and/or vaporized essential oil for aromatic treatment. The active material, for example, can be heated by an external heating source or an internal heating source.
Abstract:
A rehabilitation device is provided. The rehabilitation device may include a plurality of modular canes, a plurality of rollers, at least one divider, a first end cap and a second end cap. Each tubular modular cane may terminate in the first end and an opposing second end. The second end diameter may be sized to slidably receive the first end. The second end cap may have a second connection end sized to slidably receive the first end. The first end cap may have first connection end adapted to slidably receive the second end. The plurality of rollers may be made of compressible material. The plurality of rollers may be mounted on the plurality of modular canes so that the rehabilitation device may have an adjustable length with interchangeable rollers. The plurality of rollers may be separated by at least one divider so as to adjust the spacing of the plurality of rollers.
