Abstract:
A track-type sex aid includes a track having an outer periphery and an inner periphery opposite to the outer periphery. The track includes a plurality of protrusions protruding beyond the outer periphery of the track. An annular transmission device includes first and second wheels rotatably mounted in a space defined by the inner periphery of the track. The first wheel includes a shaft directly or indirectly coupled to a driving shaft of a power output mechanism of the annular transmission device, with the first wheel directly or indirectly driving the track.
Abstract:
An automated chest compression device for performing CPR, with distance sensors disposed on a compressing mechanism and on a structure fixed relative to the CPR patient, for determining inferior/superior movement of the compressing mechanism over the course of multiple compressions.
Abstract:
A shock wave applicator includes a shock wave generator and an asymmetrical reflector portion in a housing. Asymmetry of the reflector portion is combined with one or more wave generators to produce a variety of focal volumes and wave fronts for medical treatment.
Abstract:
A handle and trigger activating a battery powered motor moving a mechanical plunger in a linear motion range. The plunger is placed against a patient's muscle, fascia, tendon, or ligament and is subjected to the repetitive mechanical plunger motion resulting in a deep massage. Plungers of differing shapes, sizes, contours, textures, and hardness may be used and are readily changed. The speed of the device is controlled by the trigger so that if more speed is desired, a user simply depresses the trigger further. Operational modes include: the device set to 30 seconds on the highest power setting, 30 seconds on a middle power setting; the device set to 20 seconds on the highest power setting, 20 seconds on a middle power setting; and the device set to 10 seconds on the highest power setting, 10 seconds on a middle power setting.
Abstract:
A facial muscle toner system is provided that includes a base unit and a hand piece unit. The base unit includes a display portion at a front face and a command portion including one or more keys. The hand piece unit is operably connected to the base unit and is located remotely from the base unit. The hand piece unit includes a housing having a receptacle portion and a therapy distribution instrument removably connected with the receptacle portion. The therapy distribution instrument includes a therapy portion to distribute therapy to sub-dermal facial muscles.
Abstract:
A knee mobility therapy apparatus is described. The apparatus is designed for use by a patient in a seated position having the foot of the leg to be treated resting on the top flat surface of the device. The device is designed to only go forward and backwards so as not to put strain on the knee of the patient. The device is oriented by the patient so the leg may only go forwards and backwards.
Abstract:
An exercise device is disclosed. The exercise device includes an ankle rest structure and a housing. Within the housing, a drive mechanism is provided that is connected to the ankle rest structure. The drive mechanism moves the ankle rest in a reciprocating motion along a generally horizontal plane. The exercise device also includes a knee rest structure spaced away from the ankle rest and connected to the housing. In one embodiment, the knee rest is movable in a horizontal and vertical direction with respect to the housing.
Abstract:
An apparatus for stretching the lower back. A person lie supine on a horizontal padded surface at the end of which are two vertical rigid foot bars. The person wears a waist band around his waist and connects the waist band to left and right elastic members, each of which is connected to a respective foot bar. By pushing his feet against the foot bars, the person pushes the remainder of his body away from the foot bars, thereby stretching the elastic members and imposing a therapeutic force on his lower back.
Abstract:
A system and method for inducing myofascial release using temperature variation. Specifically, myofascial release device can include a roller wherein said roller is hollow, and a temperature retention material inside the roller. The method can comprise heating or cooling the temperature retention material, and retaining the temperature retention material within said roller using said caps. Lastly, a method can include rolling the myofascial release device on a user, wherein the rolling causes myofascial release.
Abstract:
The present invention is a device and method to manipulate soft tissues such as tendons using a manipulator that works in conjunction with an orthopaedic device, such as a brace. The manipulator can be an electro-mechanical device. The manipulation can alleviate symptoms of soft tissue dysfunctions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist tenosynovitis and tendonitis, cubital tunnel syndrome, neck tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and Achilles tendonitis. Manipulation alleviates the inflammation and pressure and the concomitant associated pain and other symptoms of the dysfunction. The manipulation, combined with the orthopaedic aspect of the device, allows the limb to rest and recover between manipulative treatments in a suitably stationary position.
