Abstract:
A cleaning unit for cleaning a spray gun positioned in or within a direct vicinity to a spray booth includes a cleaning nozzle and a media delivering system. A valve communicates with the media delivering system and controls an outflow of cleaning media from the cleaning nozzle.
Abstract:
There is provided a painter including (a) a static eraser which removes static electricity from air, (b) a tank containing a paint therein, (c) a spray gun which mixes the paint with air supplied from the static eraser, and sprays the paint to an object, and (d) a device located between the static eraser and the spray gun which device retains air therein. Positively or negatively charged ionized air supplied from the static eraser is retained in the device. In the device, the positively charged ionized air is mixed with the negatively charged ionized air, and resultingly, electrically neutral air is supplied from the device to the spray gun.
Abstract:
A device for applying a coating comprising a multi-component cartridge comprising at least two cylindrical cartridges, each cylindrical cartridge comprising an aperture and an open filling end that is disposed opposite the aperture and that is slidingly sealed by a cartridge piston seal, a static mixing nozzle in fluid communication with each aperture, and at least one paint applicator selected from the group consisting of a roller, a brush and a spray tip, in fluid communication with the nozzle, wherein at least one flexible hose is disposed between and in fluid communication with the cartridge and the nozzle.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing liquid for applying on the skin includes a housing, a generator provided in the housing for generating pressurized air, and an applicator in fluid communication with the generator for holding the liquid to be applied on the skin. A nozzle assembly is provided in the applicator for operatively nebulizing the liquid in the applicator in cooperation with the generator. The nebulized liquid flows out of the applicator and is applied on the skin.
Abstract:
A kit for forming a multi-component coating formulation for application using a hand-held spraying apparatus to produce a finished coating on a surface comprises a first and a second container holding respective first and second components of a multi-component coating formulation. The kit also includes at least one dispenser in the form a generally tubular body member having a closure at both a first and a second end thereof. The dispenser holds a predetermined volume of a polymerization catalyst solution having “w” weight percent of catalyst therein. The dispenser has a predetermined cross sectional area “a” given by the relationship: a≅P·A·[W/w]·10−6, where “A” is the cross sectional area of the reservoir holding a liquid coating formulation having “W” weight percent of solids; and P is the ratio by weight of the catalyst to the solids desired in the finished coating, in parts per million.
Abstract:
An apparatus for use in self-tanning is provided. The apparatus includes a wand for dispensing a self-tanning solution to a user's body. The solution is contained in an aerosol container having a dispensing mechanism. The apparatus comprises a receiving means for attaching the aerosol container to the wand, and a triggering means coupled to the receiving means for actuating the dispensing mechanism. The triggering means includes a trigger configured for actuation by a user of the apparatus, an engagement mechanism configured for engaging and actuating the dispensing mechanism, and a linkage mechanism coupling the trigger mechanism to the engagement mechanism. Actuation of the trigger by the user results in actuation of the dispensing mechanism.
Abstract:
A method for sanitizing scuba diving equipment including aqua lungs, wet-suits, fins, caps and masks comprises exposing confined parts of the gear such as hoses, pressure regulators and mouthpieces to a pressurized flow of fluid using a fluid-conditioning spray gun adapted to mix a germicidal solution into a jet of water or other fluid carrier. The spray gun has a conical nozzle provided with a set of graduated, flexible, feather-edged disks or barbs that can hermetically mate with a number of scuba diving component apertures of different sizes and shapes.
Abstract:
A self-contained spray painting system includes a spray gun for spraying paint under pressure, and a spherically shaped paint container attached to the spray gun for holding a quantity of paint to be sprayed. A flexible pick-up extends into the container and includes a weighted head that moves along an inner surface of the container and remains at the lowest point thereof as the container is moved through different orientations, whereby the pick-up remains immersed in paint in the container. The weighted head also functions to mix the paint as the container is moved through different orientations during use. An external purge system is connected with the paint inlet of the gun and is selectively operable to supply air under pressure through the paint inlet and nozzle to clean paint residue and other foreign matter from the gun at the conclusion of a painting operation.
Abstract:
A deflector is attached to a texturizer sprayer, the deflector being in the shape of a truncated cone with a tapered deflector wall which intercepts a portion of the stream of air-entrained texturizing material emitted by the sprayer. The deflector forms a more concentrated stream and focused spray pattern. The deflector includes a collection chamber for collecting and retaining texturizing material failing to exit the open end of the deflector. Support legs are provided to support the combined texturizer sprayer and deflector.
