Abstract: A powered device augments a joint function of a human during a gait cycle using a powered actuator that supplies an augmentation torque, an impedance, or both to a joint. A controller estimates terrain slope and modulates the augmentation torque and the impedance according to a phase of the gait cycle and the estimated terrain slope to provide at least a biomimetic response. The controller may also modulate a joint equilibrium. Accordingly, the device is capable of normalizing or augmenting human biomechanical function, responsive to a wearer's activity, regardless of speed and terrain, and can be used, for example, as a knee orthosis, prosthesis, or exoskeleton.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a massage device configured to provide a squeezing pressure. The massage device may include an elastically extensible and bendable connector element and at least two rolling massage elements. A portion of the elastically extensible and bendable connector element and the at least two rolling massage elements form a massaging zone configured to receive one or more body parts. The body parts may include feet, forearms, and the like. Accordingly, the massage device may provide relief for specific conditions such as plantar fasciitis and carpel tunnel syndrome.

Abstract: An information network system includes a massage machine and a communication server. The massage machine contains: a treatment portion configured to treat a subject, a control unit configured to control the treatment portion, an operation unit configured to operate the treatment portion via the control unit, and a new arrival notification portion. The communication server is connected to the control unit via a communication network, the communication server is configured to emit an information related to the massage machine. The control unit is configured to cause the new arrival notification portion to issue a notification upon a receipt of the information.

Abstract: Provided is a training device that suppresses unintended operation of an operation rod when executing an operation mode in which the operation of the operation rod is controlled based on a force applied to the operation rod. The training device includes the operation rod, a motor, a force detection unit, a rotation information output sensor, a first command calculation unit, and a force correction unit. The operation rod moves a limb. The motor operates the operation rod in a direction of degree of freedom. The force detection unit detects a force component and outputs a force component signal. The rotation information output sensor detects an operation position of the operation rod in a corresponding direction of degree of freedom. The force correction unit calculates a corrected force component value based on the operation positions of the operation rod and the force component signal. The first command calculation unit calculates a first motor control command based on the corrected force component value.

Abstract: A sexual stimulating system with feedback control includes a physiological sensor, a sexual stimulator, and a processing module. The physiological sensor measures a physiological response of a user under sexual stimulation, and generates a sensor signal according to a result of the measurement of the physiological response. The sexual stimulator applies the sexual stimulation. The processing module is electrically connected to the physiological sensor and the sexual stimulator, receives the sensor signal, performs an analytical procedure upon the sensor signal for generating digital data, and generates a driving signal according to the digital data to control a degree of the sexual stimulation.
