Abstract: A portable, self-contained, hand-held, spray gun system having spray gun with a handle, barrel, trigger, and an interchangeable cartridge containing a sprayable substance which may flow from the cartridge under pressure through a portion of the barrel past a selectively positionable needle valve and out an exit orifice of a nozzle when the trigger is squeezed allowing a user to spray the pressurized contents of the vessel over a selected surface and stop such spraying activity by releasing the trigger all without the need for a separate power source or motorized compressor.

Abstract: A liquid spray dispensing system has a liquid container receivable within a housing, provided in separable housing portions. The liquid container has at least one flexible side or end wall or a slidable end wall, movable by an actuator, to reduce the volume of a liquid storage compartment containing the liquid to be dispensed through a spray nozzle unit operably connected to the liquid storage compartment. By operating the spray nozzle unit, or a switch operably connected to a spray actuator of the spray nozzle unit, the actuator moves the flexible or slidable wall to reduce the volume of the liquid storage compartment, and thereby cause the pressurized liquid to be dispensed through the spray nozzle unit.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a product, the dispenser comprising a base unit (2) into which a refill (1) containing the product is removably insertable in a fixed position. The refill has a taggant ink (12) on part of its external surface. The base has a light source (13) to illuminate the ink. The light source has a first wavelength and the ink is arranged to cause the ink to emit light at a second different wavelength. A sensor (14) receives light emitted by the ink upon illumination by the light source. A control circuit receives signal indicative of the wavelength of the detected light from the sensor, compares it with stored data, and prevents operation of a dispensing mechanism unless the refill is authentic.

Abstract: A preferred implementation of the invention is a spray gun extension apparatus comprising a stock and a handle. In a preferred implementation the handle is a twist-style throttle handle. The invention further comprises a trigger capable of activating a spray gun. In one embodiment the trigger is connected to the handle. In yet another embodiment the trigger is connected to the stock. A rod is connected to a first rod bearing and a second rod bearing. These rod bearings are commonly known as heim joints. Further disclosed herein is a method of using a throttle-style spray gun extension apparatus.

Abstract: User-selectable volumes of a viscous condiment such as ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are consistently dispensed from a pressurized vessel. The vessel is pressurized using a small air pump, a cylinder of compressed gas or an external gas source. Pressure in the vessel is kept constant by sensing the pressure using a MEMS pressure transducer. Condiment flows from the pressurized vessel into a flexible tube, which passes through an electrically-actuated pinch valve. For a given pressure in the vessel, the amount of condiment to be dispensed is determined by the time that the pinch valve is open. A processor monitors the pressure, actuation of a user interface and controls operation of the air pump.
